The entire Moses' family were waiting anxiously at the main lounge for Sonia's return. It was already 11 pm, and she was not home yet and did not inform anyone of her whereabouts. Worse, she was still recovering and had little strength the last time they checked on her. They all heard a familiar sound,
"The gate is opened. She's back!" Kunle exclaimed with relief. They could not go out though because since the assassination attempt, Sonia had warned them to check the intercom video. Kunle rushed to the door and waited. About a minute later, he saw his sister and three other people he could not recognize. He opened the door and they all got in, with a biracial boy that looked familiar.
Mrs. Joyce Omolere entered, with the two detective carrying her luggage. Her husband had been locked up in jail for the night, to collect sense, else, he will be prosecuted for kidnapping. Sonia entered, carrying the boy, who had fallen asleep in her arms. He kept calling her Mummy, as trained by Mrs. Omolere, which Sonia was so thankful for. The resemblance with Michael could not be missed.
"Sonia!" her mother cried and rushed to her, to help carry the child.
"What's going on? Where did you find this child that looks like Michael?" Her father asked.
"Please call Madam Eunice to prepare help lead Mrs. Omolere to her room. She will be staying with us from now on. It's safer here."
"Sonia, whose child is this?" It was Kunle's turn to send his question too.
"Mum, Dad, Kunle, please meet Michael Junior, my son and your grandchild."
Mrs. Moses' hands went to her mouth in shock.
Sonia sighed and sat next to her mother on the sofa.
"So I am a grandpa? God, you are great!" Mr. Moses was beaming with joy.
"He looks so much like Michael with his biracial skin tone, curly hair, but I can see my sister so clearly. What a perfect blend!" Kunle was more than glad to become an uncle overnight.
Madam Eunice arrived and Sonia quickly asked her to prepare the room for Mrs. Omolere, but her son will be staying with her, and Mrs. Omolere would have to stay there too especially for night times, until his room will be ready for him.
"Kunle, please contact my interior designer tomorrow morning, so that he can check out the last room and decorate it for JR. I need it done asap, but tomorrow unfailingly, please get him a crib for his size, something he can grow into for a year or so."
"Yes sis! I am more than willing to do so."
Sonia busted into tears and held her mother's arm.
"Sonia, why are you crying again?"
"Imagine all Michael had planned and he didn't get to see this day."
"That's enough Mrs. Rogers. You are blessed to have him with you. You will meet Mr. Rogers again at the resurrection. Be grateful to God." It was Mrs. Omolere.
"Thank you so much." Sonia said as she got up to hug the woman.
In the longest time, Sonia knew her sleep that night would be beautifully different.
The next Saturday, the Moses' family, except Sonia, prepared themselves to go for Caroline and David's wedding. She was too excited to decorate her son's new room with the help of the interior designer. She was also looking more radiant, especially after JR's return and Dr. Gavin's gift of natural energy booster drinks that she sent to her.
"I'll be home with JR, and will be working on his room. You all go and enjoy yourselves. Please don't forget my gift for the couple."
"Alright dear. Don't stress yourself too much."
