Tears fell from her eyes constantly for the past six hours, after her discharge from the hospital. It was a beautiful, sunny Sunday morning, but it was lost on Sonia. She had spent the hours thinking deeply about her life, her short marriage, and where her life was at. She took her medications religiously and was about to go back to sleep when Madam Eunice knocked once and entered her boss' bedroom.
"Madam Eunice, abeg na. I want to sleep. Please let me be." She complained like a baby.
"Madam, a woman is here, and she said she would like to see you, and she said it is really important."
Sonia screamed loudly over and over until her lungs were raw with pain.
"I don't want to see anyone! Tell her to leave! I have lost three important people that matter to me, can't I have a moment's peace?" She busted into tears, burying her head in the pillow.
Madam Eunice apologized and left the room.
The woman waiting downstairs heard the scream, and wondered what was wrong.
"Ma, you have to leave. My boss is not well right now. She just came back from the hospital."
"What happened?" The woman asked.
"She has been through a lot, so she is really under a lot of stress. She would like to get some sleep." Madam Eunice replied.
"I read that she is a young childless widow, and was recently attacked by armed men."
"You are right. It has all taken a toll on her health. You know, so much trauma."
The visitor took out a C4 envelope out of her bag and handed it to Madam Eunice.
"Give this to her when she wakes up. I am sure that what is in here will bring joy back into her life."
"Really?" Madam Eunice's eyes lit up. Even though she had only been serving Sonia or less than a year, she was like family. Sonia takes very good care of her and other staff members. She collected the envelope and saw the woman out.

JR was playing with his toys with the man he affectionately calls 'uncle.' He was going to be 2 years old in few months' time, and should be starting Nursery school by the next year if things go well. He has been in hiding from the day he came out of his mother's womb, so he was very much unaware of the outside world besides the people who raised him as their own. They lived in a three bedroom house, all rent paid for by Mr. Michael Rogers, who wanted them to be comfortable. Jonathan Omolere was an unemployed, lazy and selfish 50 year-old man, leeching off his wife, who was a professional nanny. All their four children were graduates, and out of the nest, and they send money once in a while because the economy has surely seen better days. As long as he was well fed, Jonathan was happy. His own plan was to use the child to collect millions from his rich family. As he made faces to entertain JR, his wife arrived.
"You are back," he said with a fake smile.
"Jonathan, I know what is in your mind, but I beg you, get rid of it. If you do anything outside the will and desires of his father, you will be haunted till you die o. I warned you o. Don't forget he told us that of anything bad happened to him, we must hand over his son to his wife."
Jonathan smiled, "I hear you okay."
Meanwhile, Sonia woke up to the darkness of the night. She sat up first, whispered a few prayers of thanksgiving and walked to her bathroom to wash her face. She felt a little light and wanted to grab something to eat. She had decided to take a full week off to rest and only focus on finding JR. But the only frustrating thing was that she did not know where to start from. She may as well hand over the job to her detective friend to solve this riddle.
