Blessed New Month and week, dear readers. I hope your seat belts are still holding you tightly. 😁 You will need special grace going forward. Please, catch it. But in all honesty, I pray God speaks to us through this book and if anyone is experiencing anything similar to this, may the Lord rescue you. And if any single is about to enter a family like this one, may the Lord rescue you as well, in Jesus' name. Above all, I pray that the Lord's perfect will be done in all our lives. Amen.
Enjoy😉

Michael did not disclose the decision to leave the country to his father because he knew it would hurt him and his sister Margaret. Right now, he could not face his mother; his bitterness towards her had no measure. He knew she was responsible for the first miscarriage and the assault to kill Sonia. He overheard the latter narrate everything to her mother, but he decided to remain silent and just watch how things would play out. He blamed himself now that he did not take action by keeping his mother away from Sonia. He could have prevented the second tragedy.
Nevertheless, life must go on...without his mother.
The next three weeks that followed marked a significant part of Sonia and Michael's marital journey. They went on a holiday in Ghana without telling anyone except their bosses at work who gave them leave to grieve. They spent their days exploring different parts of Accra, bought souvenirs, took hundreds of pictures, prayed together and mourned together. Michael even took her to see his friend who would be helping them adjust to their new life in a few months' time when everything was finalised, especially Michael's work permit. They agreed that Sonia would remain at home to rest and just enjoy time off from work and work on their marriage. All the plans were perfected before they finally left Ghana on the last week of January 2014. Their marriage had started on a clean slate and a new life was born or so they thought.
Sonia pulled the curtains in their living room from side to side. She did not miss this house of horror and wanted to run back to Ghana, but, the preparations must be completed. It has been two days since they arrived and no one knew about it except Mr. Rogers, whom Michael was trying to put out of his misery. Michael joined his wife in the living room, dressed up as if going out.
"Where are you off to?" Sonia asked, visibly surprised.
"Margaret called me. Apparently Dad was just discharged from the hospital after his blood pressure went sky high last week. I am just checking on him and then, I will come back."
"Please go and see him Michael and extend my greetings to him." Sonia said kindly.
Sonia hugged him tightly. "I wish you didn't have to go. We were supposed to do our devotion then have breakfast."
"I know Sonia. I will be back and then we will spend quality time with God together and then visit your parents."
Sonia smiled at him.
"I will have to take your car since mine is still at the mechanic's." Michael said.
"No problem. I'll be waiting for you. Don't forget that I love you very much."
"I love you too Sonia. I love you more than ever before. Call me if you need the car urgently."
Sonia hugged him tightly and replied,
"No wahala. Please extend my greetings to Dad."
"Will do."

Michael never made it to his father's side. He had a fatal accident on his way and he was terribly injured. Sonia was about to start unpacking when she was called from the hospital. The phone almost fell from her hands. She rushed out of the house with her purse to see her husband.
