Chapter 58: Information

"Come on let's go take a shower and get out of here. We need to get back to everyone they're probably worried about us," I say clutching the stack of credits tightly in my hand.

Felicity nods. We head back to the back rooms and I shower, Felicity cleans herself off. She had gotten our clothes back from Poppy. After I showered I changed into the clothes I came in and threw the clothes that were gross down the laundry shoot. Felicity did the same.

I threw my hair into a high bun to keep my wet hair off my neck and dripping down my back. We headed back into the office of Poppy.

"I got you your money can you give me the exact location of the coordinates?" I ask.

Poppy nodded. She typed them in and there was a chime.

"Why do you need to go to the Onderan System?" Poppy asks.

"There's probably a reason. Where exactly in the Onderan System?" I ask.

"On the moon Candor 24," Poppy says, then shows me the screen.

I groaned the coordinates were in the water.

"Thank you, Poppy," I say.

"Thank you," Poppy says.

We nod, then head out. We passed more of the rooms with beads hanging on the door. I had tried not to look in any, but a voice caught my attention. I paused.

"What is it, Skye?" Felicity asks coming over to my side.

"I thought I heard something," I say.

I go to leave, but then I hear it again. I look through the beads and almost fall. There were three people in the room. Two girls one guy. The guy was sitting on the couch his legs spread wide, he was only wearing a towel so, he was drawing attention between his legs.

One girl was dressed in a corset and stockings. Her hair was pulled back. Her head was lying on one of the guy's legs. The other girl was across the table in a mask. She wore a bra and underwear, but an oversized shirt tied so it drew attention to her voluptuous breasts, they were practically spilling out of her bra.

There was an intricate bowl on the table holding a powder that the three of them were taking turns packing into something and then snorting it. I stopped because I thought I heard Wren's voice and then looking in I realized I wasn't crazy Wren was in there along with his girlfriend and a worker. I moved the beads aside and stepped in.

"I didn't ask for anymore," Wren says lazily, then looks towards the beads and sees me.

"Skye," He says.

"I'm sorry, I thought I heard your voice. I didn't expect to see you," I say.

I quickly walk back out of the room. I hear the beads move.

"Skye, wait," He says.

I sigh, then turn around.

"What you saw in there," Wren says.

"Wren, it doesn't matter what I saw in there, we each have our own lives," I say.

"What are you doing here?" Wren asks.

"I needed information. I got it. Poppy knows me from my past," I say.

"You never worked here did you?" Wren asks.

"No, I got her the stuff she needed, or she had me do shady stuff for shady people. She wanted me to work in the menagerie, but I never did," I say.

"Camielle wanted to do this so, I agreed. It's a great way to let off steam every week," Wren says.

I just nod.

"Wren we are broken up you don't need to explain your life choices to me. Just like I don't need to explain mine to you. You should go back. I'm sure Camielle and your friend are waiting for you," I say.

He nods, but then he looks me up and down and I see a curious gleam appear in his eyes.

"Why's your hair up and wet?" Wren asks.

"None of your business that's why," I say.

"Did you have sex to get information?" Wren asks incredulously.

I roll my eyes.

"Wren, it's really none of your concern," I say.

"Then I'll just assume you did," Wren says.

I roll my eyes.

"If you really must know I pretended to work here to get money from a client who hasn't been paying. I got the money, how I did so is none of your concern," I say.

Wren was looking at me like I had betrayed him. I roll my eyes.

"Wren you shouldn't leave your girl and the worker waiting. Felicity and I need to go find the others now that we have the information we need," I say.

I see Grayson coming out of the room towards us. He sees us and starts heading toward us his eyes murderous.

"Shit," I say, then start pulling Felicity after me as quickly as I could.

Grayson shoved Wren out of the way and I tried to hide my laugh. Felicity and I made our way through the doors that led to the front of the business. We booked it out of there to the Spector. Lars, Efren, and Helaina noticed this, and they immediately stopped what they were doing to follow us out. Lars had to drag Keka after him.

We reached the Spector and Helaina took off with no questions asked.
