The whole way to the Onderon system I sat in silence. Felicity sat beside me in case I needed her, but it was mostly to keep me company. Everyone knew not to ask me what happened when I disappeared for a few hours. Mostly because Felicity told them not to ask me, it wasn't anything bad.
I just threatened the man for the money and he complied, but the fact that I had even considered sleeping with the man to get his money, and the only reason I didn't was because Felicity was with me and I wasn't going to subject her to that. That was the real reason that I was silent. We were heading to Onderon to drop off Keka. This was the original place she was going to go when she crashed on Selene. A few times Theo, Efren, or Helaina stuck their head in to check on me, but they never spoke to me which I was okay with.
We came out of hyperspace to see a giant blue planet lurking in front of us. I sighed and then stood up.
"Alright, let's get this over with," I say to myself, then head into the cargo bay and start getting ready.
Theo and Efren eventually came in and started getting ready as well. Keka was the last one to come in and made sure we knew that she didn't like the idea of what we were doing. I put my mask on, and my jetpack, and then Helaina dropped us off on the planet's surface. Because it was completely water we were going to have to dive into the water and swim until we found a bit of land. Helaina opened the cargo bay and Theo and Efren immediately jumped in.
Keka outright refused so, I had to practically jump out grabbing her and taking her with me. Felicity followed me and as soon as we hit the water I sent Felicity over to help Keka who was sputtering and cursing me out angrily. I just rolled my eyes and swam toward Efren and Theo. I reached them and we trod water and then raised my wrist with the bracelet on it and consulted it. I looked for any semblance of land.
Felicity joined us and Keka was with her angrily yelling at me and making sure everyone knew how incredibly ridiculous I was. I ignored her and so did Efren, but his jaw was tensed. Theo actually was glaring at her and he looked like he was going to hit her.
"Flick, are you picking up anything?" I ask still looking for land on the hologram projected above my hand from one of the bracelet's beads.
Felicity swam up to me and scanned for land as well. There was nothing for a little bit, but then she pointed toward my left.
"There's some that way, but it's a long swim," Felicity says.
I look at Efren and Theo who nodded at me.
"Flick, stay close to Keka," I say.
"With all due respect you are my patient," Flick says.
"Fine, I'll stay with her so you stay by her," I say.
Theo and Efren shared a look with me, and I nodded at them. They didn't like it, but they relented and started swimming to where Felicity had told them to go. I swam next to Keka. Luckily she kept her opinions about me to herself. I figured it was because she was focused on swimming and not expending too much energy.
I don't know how long we swam, but we eventually reached land, and we collapsed onto the white sands out of breath and our limbs all feeling like jelly. I closed my eyes for a second and then I felt someone shake me. My eyes shot up and I saw Theo hovering over me.
"Come on sit up, you have to stay awake. We were just in freezing water and need to stay awake," Theo says.
"Where's Efren?" I ask.
"He's checking on Keka. He asked me too, but I told him if I went over there I would probably hit her for all those things she said to you, so he went," Theo says.
I chuckle, Theo broke into a grin and then offered his hand to me. I took it and he pulled me to my feet. On my feet, he instructed me to keep moving especially my fingers and toes. Efren was doing the same thing with Keka although, she was less receptive to it. Felicity reluctantly tended to Keka first before she came to me.
After me, she tended to Theo, and then Efren. After we were all tended to she went to search for food, because we had expended so much energy. I sat next to Theo our shoulders brushing against each other and I felt my body sagging against his mostly because of how exhausted I was. He didn't complain though.
