I'll admit exploring was something that I had very much missed since I started leading people to the crystal planet. There was never enough time to do anything. We were also on our ships most of the time. This planet was also the perfect planet that I would love to run through. I was currently crouched next to Grace and Felicity.
Grace was dressed in what the sisters of selene wore and I was currently wearing an extra of those that she had. Luckily enough it was something I would've worn anyway. It was an almost romper like outfit, but it was made out of strong fabric to protect them. It was also incredibly comfortable and easy to move around in. Everyone wore a version of this, but they did something to make it more unique to them.
For Grace she added an earring that was shaped like an arrow head. For me I had my hair in a braid still, but I added some orange flowers into my hair above my ear, after Felicity had analyzed them and Grace had told me they're completely harmless. Grace was tightening her shoes, the shoes were flats, but they had straps that laced up to at least the end of the romper. Grace told me they were like that because it was easier to move around quietly and they could also hide multiple daggers in the straps. When everything was clear I stood up and started walking around the area we were in.
Grace walked around next to me and would answer questions about certain plants I had. Felicity was walking around analyzing everything if it was okay with Grace. I walked up to a tree. It was definitely an old one, and it had been through a lot. It was severely knotted, and gnarled.
It was still standing though. It was strong, and healthy. I gently rested my hand on it, and I saw a faint blue outline around my hand appear before disappearing.
"I think the spirits like you," Grace says.
"What?" I ask.
Grace comes up beside me and rests her hand on the tree also. I see the blue outline appear around her hand also.
"Everything has spirit and on this planet they are more easily shown than somewhere else. They judge everyone and if they choose to show themselves to you then you are in their favor," Grace says.
I smile, then I see something purple take off from the tree branch. I gasp and look up I hadn't seen a spirit guide in a long time. In fact the last time I had seen one was when I was on Helrif. So seeing one again made me tear up a little bit. I looked over and saw Grace looking at where it had disappeared, and I felt shock go through me.
I thought only Helrifians could see spirit guides.
"You saw it too?" I whisper.
"Yeah, it was a Falcon I believe. Spirit guides are very easy to see if you are pretty spiritual yourself. The sisters of selene are a group of warriors, but we also are trained in how to open up spiritually. It's one of the places our magic come from. Crystal-people are also pretty spiritual, but it's a different kind of spiritual from us. You also being Helrifian have remarkable access to both types of spiritual forms," Grace says.
"I'll admit that I haven't seen a spirit guide in a long time," I whisper.
Grace just smiles kindly at me.
"I know, I could feel it. You have that spiritual door, but it's been closed and left partially open. Since you've been here it's been opening again. I assume it's because the other spiritual part of you is housing a cosmic force of that spirit. It's kind of hard to keep both doors open when one is much more powerful than the other," Grace says.
I nod. We continue forward and I was alert for any kind of predator, although Grace assured me there were no predators here. I was trained to always be alert, and assume something was going to attack me at any moment, especially in terrain I didn't know. We had been walking for awhile when I heard a deafening screech. Grace ducked behind a rock with me, and we peered over it towards the sound.
I saw a giant bird like animal. It was hurt. I could tell because of how its wings were angled.
"It's hurt," I say, and go to get out from behind the rock, but Grace caught my arm.
"It's also big and frightened, frightened creatures happen to lash out,"
"I know, but trust me I'm really good with animals," I say.
Grace looked over at Felicity for confirmation. Felicity nodded.
"She is, she once was able to ride a space whale," Felicity says.
Grace sighs, but lets go of my arm.
