"Do you thinkshe'sok? I mean-I just left her there, and that sound-I-I don't even know what to call it." Neither Jonathan or Nancy heard from Rose. Nancy suggested going back to the tree to try and find the girl.
"Look, Rose is tough. Clearly, she knows how to handle herself. We will go by her house and see if she's there." Jonathan kept his eyes on the road. Stopping at a red light.
The two were skipping classes to go to a hunting store to try and kill the monster Nancy saw.
"What if that thing has her? She could be dead, or taken like Barb, and Will."
"We don't know thats what happened to Will and Barb." Jonathan didn't want to think of his little brother stuck in that place. Nancy chewed on her lip, her brows furrowed together.
Jonathan continued to drive to Roses house. He rounded the corner of the block when Nancy jumped out of her seat.
"There she is!' Nancy didn't even wait until Jonathan came to a full stop before she jumped out of the car. Rose looked up at the girl getting pushed back when Nancy came full force at her.
"Oh my God, are you ok? I'm so sorry-I didn't-I shouldn't have left you there all along." Rose froze at the hug patting the girl on the back. Rose put her hands on the girls shoulders pushing her away.
"I'm fine, I found another portal out and ran. Thanks for worrying about me though." Rose smiled giving a nod toward Jonathan who was standing there with his hands shoved into his pockets. Nancy let out a heavy sigh.
"Are you sure you're ok?" Rose debated telling Nancy about her boyfriend but decided against it. She put on a smile nodding.
"I didnt get even a scratch. Ruined my favorite jacket but better then being dead." Thats when Nancy took notice of the girl for the first time not wearing her famous jean jacket. Her brown hair pulled up into a pony tail.
Nancy looked back at Jonathan for a moment before turning back to tje girl.
"We want to kill that thing. We are going out to get supplies please come with us. We-I need you." Rose looked between the two of them. If she didn't help they would easily die in the process by the creature. They may summon something else in the process.
"Yeah, I'll come." Nancy smiled before looking across the street Nancy running back to Jonathans car. Jonathan and Rose walked side by side.
"Nancy said you did something last night. Some sound that let her get away. How did you do that?" Rose licked her lips suckkng in a breath.
"I didnt do anything, the thing must've made the noise. All I did was get their attention then run. I don't know what she heard." Rose couldn't look him in the eye when she was spilling her lie to him. Instead she kept her eyes ahead, and as quick as she could she got into the back seat.
