Rose didn't sleep much that night. Every night she would close her eyes and see the opened face, the rows of teeth that would chase her through the night.

She slid on her jean jacket over top her red tank top. Her jeans cuffed to show her warn, black converse. She was fixing her bracelet on her wrist and she mindlessly walked across the hall into the bathroom.

She sighed out, let her hand fall at her side. Rose studied herself in the mirror before fixing her hair to cover her scar as much as she could. It wouldn't help, it would stop the teenagers that called her names, that would glares at her in the hallway. Some called her freak others called her psycho. She learned to tune them out, to glare back, to keep her chin helled high. That was at school, as soon as she got out of the building the entire mask would fade.

Rose turned, walking down the hall into the open living room. Jean was in the kitchen as always. Rose walked to her grabbing the toast that Jean had made.

"Have a good day Rosie." Jean smiled sipping on her coffee, with the newspaper spread out in front of her. Rose walked kissing her on the cheek and then took a bite of her toast.

Roses face became sad, Wills picture was plastered everywhere. No one knew where he was, what happened to him. Rose just hopped he truly was just lost in the woods.

Rose back up walking around the table and toward the door. She picked up her orange sunglasses putting them into her hair, bending down and picking up her bag.

"Bye Jean." She called waiting for a response as she opened the door.

"Bye hun." She heard call back. Rose walked out shutting the door behind her. As she went down the path a boy rode down yelling for her to get out the way.

"ROSE!" He screeched sliding his bike to the side putting down his feet to keep him there. Rose was stunned for a moment before she walked over to the boy, knocking his hat off into his lap.

"Hey Dustin." She greeted, he lives just down the street, always running over to Roses for whatever he needed. Jean also always seems to have some cookies to share with the boy.

Dustin grinned with his toothless smile making her laugh pushing his face away.

Dustin put back on his hat bending it down mockingly.

"My lady." He grinned as a goodbye. She rolled her eyes watching him bike away. She glared up at the sun pulling down her sunglasses.

Tugging open her locker she suffed in her books. She balanced her bag in her knee only taking the things she needed for this hour. Rose glanced up when she heard snickering. Only this time, it wasn't at her.
