Rose and Jean managed to get ahead of Jim when he stopped to drop off Joyce. Joyce, Johnathan and Nancy went to the Byers house to wait until the three got back with the kids.
Rose felt the bubbling anxiety in her stomach. It was eating her up, and swallowing her whole.
What if they already found them?
What if Brenner took Eleven?
What if he killed her?
"Turn here!" Rose basically screamed at Jean. The older women glanced cautiously over the the teen, her heart aching to see her in pain like this. It reminded her when Rose first showed up on her door step.
Jean tugged on the wheel, the car bumping with the gravel beneath the tires.
"Wait, slow down." Rose saw around the corner two cars with men in suits getting out of them. They are searching in the old rusty cars in the area, which meant they will go looking in the buss. "I'll be right back." Rose opened her door slowly, leaving it open to cause less noise.
She crouched down and quickly ran to another cover point. Peeking above the old pile of rusty metal she saw the men crouching under the bus.
The bikes.
Rose quickly forced herself to tune into the energy she constantly feels buzzing beneath her skin. She focused her eyes on their cars. Her eye brows were pulled together as the cars began to rumble, causing the alarms to go off. Both men stood up pulling out their guns.
She didn't want to kill them. She just needed to knock them out.
Her eyes glanced over to the side where a sheet of rusty copper sat against an old car. Her hand at her side flexed upwards. The metal following her command. Then with a pull of her hand it shot right at one of the men. It hit him straight in the head, his body falling to the ground. The other, quickly ran to his partner. Rose pulled at one of the bikes behind him and shot it toward his back. The man groaned before collapsing.
Behind her she heard another car pull up. She didn't waste any time before running out of her hiding spot, and wiping the fresh blood on her sleeve. She didnt really care if the kids saw her. When she opened the door and walked up the old step she saw all their crouched bodies.
"Hey losers." She said out of breath. Dustin peeked out and grinned at her.
"Definitely not like Lando." He said scrambling up to give her a hug. Roses eyes widened but she hugged the kid back anyways.
"Alright let's go." She patted Dustins back and turned down the steps hurrying back to the cars. The kids all stopped to gawk at the two knocked out guards.
"How did she-"
"Superpowers..." Dustin whispered giggling, before running after her. Both Mike and Lucas looked at Eleven who didn't look shocked.
