Chapter 3

Luca's Perspective

After the meeting ended, my beta, Eric, and I returned to the pack house because my best friend was waiting to meet his mate there. You must be wondering what the pack is, WTF is beta, and all this shit.

"Well, I am Lucas Knight, the alpha of the Knight pack. I'm 22 years old and haven't found my mate yet. I'm furious right now. Most wolves find their mate at the age of 18, but I haven't found mine yet. I've visited every country and city but haven't found my mate. I think the Moon Goddess hasn't gifted me with a mate. I don't think I deserve one. What can I say? I'm such a ruthless person. My beta is my second in command, and he's also my best friend. My pack is the largest one in Colombia. Everyone fears us, and no one dares to go behind our back."

After we reached home, Eric went to his mate, and I went to my room and straight to my bed. I wish I had a mate whom I could love and cherish every moment with, but I don't know when I will find her. In the morning, when I woke up and had breakfast, I had to go to New York for the meeting along with my beta and my delta. I have an uneasy feeling, but I don't know what it is. When we arrived in New York, it was 6 in the morning. After reaching the hotel, I slept like a baby before the meeting. At 8 pm, my beta, Delta, and I went straight to a luxurious restaurant where the meeting was going to happen.

I don't know what the uneasy feeling was. After an hour of the meeting, when I was listening to an alpha of another pack, suddenly, I smelled the most delicious scent from my nose. It was the scent of roses and vanilla coming from the restaurant. The scent made my mind crazy. I heard my wolf Zydus howl in my mind.

"MATE! MATE! MATE! MATE is here!"

I looked around curiously, looking for my mate. When I saw the most beautiful girl in the world. She was wearing a black dress. She must be 5'2. She's tiny, and she's perfect. And has long beautiful hairs. When my eyes reached her lips, I wanted to suck those beautiful pink plump lips. Her dress was showing her beautiful curves. I wanted to take her right here on the table and make her mine. But then my eyes reached her hand. Her hand was in the hand of a boy. My blood started boiling, and anger came into my eyes. My wolf was about to take control because a dickhead was touching his mate. I growled. Suddenly, her eyes set on mine. She has the most beautiful eyes. She was staring at me with her beautiful brown orbs. And then her attention falls on that fucker. I just wanted to kill him. But my beta stopped me from calling random attention. My blood is boiling. I was fuming with anger. I just want to tear that fucker to touch my mate.

Wait, why didn't my mate come to me? Didn't she feel the mate bond? I was thinking when my wolf told me. "Luca, our mate is a human. She doesn't have any wolf." What? But it doesn't matter. I will love her, cherish her, and treat her like a queen. "Luca, stop your fucking thoughts," my wolf said. "Our mate's gone." Zydus said into my mind. "What? Am not going to let it happen" I stood from the table and went straight towards the gate. "Wait, alpha." I could hear my beta shouting behind me but all my mate was all over my mind.

Eric perspective

I cancelled the meeting. I haven't seen Luca like this. What's wrong with him? There's no other wolves. We are only in restaurants. If there were any other wolves, I could sense them. I think that Alpha isn't thinking straight. Poor soul. If he doesn't find her mate on time, it can have an effect on his mental effect, and i dont want that.

Luca perspective

As I exited the restaurant, I saw my mate with that fucker. When my mate kissed him, my wolf came to the surface.

"MINE!"

I was fuming with anger as i saw her kissing someone else. I am going to kill that fucker who dares to touch whats mine. I control myself. Before going to them, they both looked at us like they have seen a ghost. I took my mate's hand from him. My mate was looking at me with an angry look. "Who the fuck are you?" my mate nearly yelled at me. Her voice was a melody to my ears. I can't say that I'm her mate and she's destined to be with me. So I told her, "You're coming with me. You're mine," I spoke with patience.
