Luca’s Perspective

Lunch had just ended, and I was about to leave the dining hall when Aurora suddenly stood up from her chair. "Luca, I'm going outside. I’ll be back early," she announced casually. My eyes narrowed. "Where are you going, Aurora?" I asked, suspicion creeping into my voice. She hesitated for a second before answering, "Well… umm… for a walk." I wasn’t convinced. I knew my sister well enough to tell when she was hiding something. Still, I decided to let it go—under one condition. "Okay, but bring guards with you," I ordered firmly. She sighed, clearly annoyed. "Luca, I can take care of myself." I exhaled sharply, already feeling a headache coming on.

"Listen, don't argue with me. If you want to go out, you have to bring guards. It’s not safe outside." My voice left no room for discussion. Before Aurora could respond, Isabelle suddenly spoke up."Let her go, Luca. It's not like something will happen to her." I turned my head to look at her, irritation rising within me. She had no idea what she was talking about. "When we both were talking, Isabelle, you interrupted us." My voice was sharp as I snapped at her. "Keep quiet and stay out of this." She didn’t understand our world. She didn’t know about the dangers outside, the rogues lurking in the shadows, waiting for a moment of weakness. And yet, here she was, giving her opinion as if she knew anything. Her face hardened, and her jaw clenched. I knew that look. She was pissed.

"Oh, I’m sorry, big bad, Mr. Luca," she said sarcastically, her voice dripping with anger. "I forgot—I’m just a hostage here. Thanks for reminding me that I don’t have the right to speak in your matters." And with that, she stormed out of the dining room. Just great. "Great job, stupid," Aurora muttered under her breath. I shot her a glare. "Language, Aurora." She rolled her eyes. "What language? Is this how you talk to your mate? She was just taking my side. And by the way, she’s going to be our Luna, which means she will have equal rights as you. So I think you should at least consider her opinion." I ran a hand through my hair, trying to control my frustration. "Aurora, I didn’t mean it like that. And you clearly know the situation with rogues right now. Isabelle doesn’t know about our world, so her opinion doesn’t matter for now."

Aurora scoffed. "Don’t give me explanations—go to your mate." I sighed. "I’m going, but listen to me, missy—you’re not going alone." She pouted like a child. "Luca, I want to go for a run. My wolf, Rory, wants to stretch her legs." I folded my arms. "No matter what, you’re taking one of the warriors with you." She huffed in frustration, but I ignored it. I quickly mind-linked one of my top warriors. "Matt, come here." A few minutes later, Matt arrived. He bowed his head in respect before speaking. "Yes, Alpha. I’m here." I looked at him seriously. "Listen, I want you to go with Ma’am Aurora. If anything happens to her, you will be done for good." My alpha voice carried a warning, making sure he understood the importance of his duty. "Luca!" Aurora protested, but I shut her down with a look. "Shh, Aurora. Now go, I have things to attend to." She pouted again, but I ignored it and turned on my heels, heading straight to my room.

Isabelle’s Perspective

God, Izzy, what were you thinking? I scolded myself as I sat on the bed, arms crossed, frustration bubbling inside me. Why did you say those things? But seriously, who the hell does Luca think he is? He acts like he owns everyone, like he has the right to control everything. If he thinks he can boss me around just because he kidnapped me, he’s so wrong. I’ll make his life a living hell. I was lost in my thoughts when the door to my room swung open. Luca stepped in, his tall frame filling the space. "Isabelle, babe…" he said as he walked towards me. I narrowed my eyes at him. "What?" I snapped, not in the mood for his sweet-talking. He sighed, rubbing the back of his neck. "Babe, I’m sorry. I didn’t mean it." His voice was softer now, like he actually cared. I rolled my eyes. "Listen, I don’t need your explanations. It was your family matter. I don’t care what decision you made.
