Luca’s Perspective

As soon as the words left Isabelle’s mouth—those ridiculous words about leaving me about rejecting me—rage boiled inside me. My wolf, Zydus, let out a deep growl in my head, restless and furious. How dare she? The mere thought of our mate rejecting us sent a sharp pain through my chest. Zydus whimpered at the idea of losing her, but his sadness quickly turned into anger.
Who the hell told her about the rejection thing?

Isabelle didn’t just magically learn about it. Someone must have told her. And I had a very good idea of who that person was. I clenched my fists and took a deep breath, trying to calm the storm inside me, but it was useless. My wolf was already on edge, and so was I. I needed answers. “Eric, come to my office. Right now,” I ordered through the mind-link. My beta, Eric, was the only person I trusted completely. He was loyal, sharp, and never failed to get things done. If anyone could find out who had filled Isabelle’s head with these stupid ideas, it was him.

Minutes later, my office door opened, and Eric walked in. “What happened, Alpha?” he asked, his tone serious. I leaned back in my chair, rubbing my hand through my hair in frustration. “Isabelle knows about rejection,” I said, my voice tight with anger. Eric’s eyes widened in shock. “What?” I nodded, my jaw clenched. “Yes. And I need to know who the hell told her about it.”

Eric was silent for a moment, his brows furrowed in thought. Then his expression darkened. “Alpha, I think it was Emily,” he said firmly. “No one else would dare go behind your back like that.” Emily. That damn traitor. My blood boiled. That woman had already done enough damage to my pack, and now she was messing with my mate? Filling Isabelle’s head with dangerous ideas? I slammed my fist on the desk, making the whole room shake. “That bitch!” I growled. “She’s done enough damage. If you find her anywhere near our pack, kill her. No mercy.” Eric nodded without hesitation. “Yes, Alpha.” He knew better than to question my decisions. I wasn’t a fool. Emily had betrayed me once before, and I wasn’t about to let her do it again. Eric hesitated for a second before asking, “Alpha, sorry to ask, but… where’s Luna?” A smirk formed on my lips. “She’s sleeping. For good.”

Eric looked at me in confusion. “What do you mean by that, Luca?” I leaned forward, resting my elbows on the desk. “She threatened to leave me, Eric. She actually thought she could reject me. So, I had to inject her.” My voice was cold, emotionless. Eric’s eyes widened for a brief second, but he quickly masked his reaction. “What?” “Yes, Eric. Any problem with that?” I asked, my tone sharp. He shook his head immediately. “No, Alpha. She’s your mate. You can do whatever you want to do to her.” Damn right, I could. Isabelle was mine. She could fight all she wanted, but she wasn’t going anywhere. Not now. Not ever. I leaned back in my chair and exhaled slowly, forcing myself to focus on more important matters. “Any reports on rogues?” I asked, changing the subject. Eric straightened. “We’ve increased security around Alpha Roman’s pack. Nothing serious has happened, but he’s happy to negotiate with us.” I nodded in satisfaction. “Good. You can go now.”

Eric gave me a respectful nod before turning to leave. As soon as the door closed behind him, I ran a hand over my face and sighed. I needed to keep Isabelle under control. She didn’t understand yet, but she would. She would learn that she belonged to me. And no matter what she thought… she was never escaping.

Emily’s Perspective

"Are you happy now, stupid human?" Keena, my wolf, growled inside my head as I walked through the dark forest, my bare feet sinking into the damp soil. The night was cold, but my body burned with rage. "Shut up, Keena," I muttered, not in the mood for her judgment. "Now, where will we go? Because of your stupidity, Alpha banished us!" she snapped. I clenched my fists, my nails digging into my palms. "I’m not leaving him," I hissed. "He started this because of that mutt. But I’ll finish it. That pathetic human will be gone for good, and Luca will be mine."Will you just shut up?" Keena growled, but I ignored her and pushed her to the back of my mind. I didn’t need her nagging right now. I had already made up my mind—I needed to go to Alpha Dave’s pack. He would help me. He had to. With one last glance at Luca’s pack house, I shifted into my wolf form. My fur bristled as I let out a low growl, my heart pounding with a mix of fury and determination. I will come for you, Luca. You are mine. Only mine. And with that, I sprinted into the forest, heading toward Alpha Dave’s territory. After running for hours, my paws ached, but I refused to stop.
