Eric’s Perspective

I sighed, rubbing my temples as I sat on the couch. “I don’t know what’s wrong with the Alpha,” I muttered to my mate, Amelia. You might be wondering—wasn’t it just Luca and me who came to New York? Well, yeah, initially. But Amelia had arrived this morning. She missed me too much, and I missed her just as much. Since we mated a few days ago, staying apart wasn’t really an option. Our wolves were possessive about each other, and honestly, it was torture to be separated for even a few hours. Amelia raised an eyebrow at me. “Eric, we all know how it feels to be away from our mates, don’t we?” I sighed, knowing she had a point. “Yeah, but—”

“But what?” she interrupted, crossing her arms. “Let’s say I was a human. I had a boyfriend, and we had amazing chemistry. What would happen then?” A low growl rumbled from my throat before I could stop it. Just imagining her with someone else was enough to drive me insane. My wolf stirred inside me, furious at the mere thought. Amelia narrowed her eyes at me. “Don’t you dare growl at me, Eric.” I immediately softened, knowing I had no right to get angry when she was just making a point. “I don’t want to share you with anyone,” I said, my voice firm. “You’re mine.” She smiled, pleased with my response. “I know, love. I’m yours. Now, do you understand what I was saying? It’s not easy for Luca. The Moon Goddess gave him a human mate… and as a bonus, she comes with a boyfriend.” She let out a small chuckle. “Can you even imagine what our Alpha is going through right now?” I sighed. “Yeah… it’s messed up.” “So, just do as Alpha says. Don’t go against his orders. And Eric, he doesn’t want to hurt her. He just wants her to be with him, love him, cherish every moment with him, and live by his side. She’s our Luna, whether she’s a wolf or a human.”

I shook my head, letting out a small laugh. “The Moon Goddess definitely gifted me with a genius and a beautiful mate. I love you a lot, Amelia. You’re the best thing that has ever happened to me.” She grinned. “Aww, come here.” She grabbed the collar of my shirt and pulled me in for a deep kiss, pouring all her energy into it. Our moans filled the room as the kiss grew more intense, our bodies pressing against each other. Then, suddenly, she pulled back, a playful smirk on her lips. “Nope. It's not happening right now.” I groaned. “Amelia…” She shook her head. “First, Alpha’s duty. Then, sex.” She winked. “Now go. I have shopping to do.” I sighed in defeat. “Fine. But take guards with you.”

She rolled her eyes. “Eric, I’ll be fine without them.” “Don’t argue with me, missy. You know about the rogue problem.” She pouted but finally gave in. “Okay, fine.” I chuckled. “You’re tough to handle. I don’t know what’s going to happen when Alpha has his human mate at the pack house. And she’s a feisty one, too.” “That’s Alpha’s problem,” Amelia teased, laughing. I pressed a quick kiss to her cheek before heading out. Now, I have a job to do. I drove straight to Ryan’s college. According to his file, he had already finished football practice and would be heading home soon. That meant I had the perfect opportunity to capture him. After an hour-long drive, I reached the campus. Most students had already left, and the remaining football players were making their way to the exit. I parked my car in a secluded spot and waited. Half an hour later, Ryan finally appeared. He was walking toward his car, unaware that I was watching him. As soon as he reached for his car door, I stepped out and made my move. “Hey, man,” he greeted casually as he noticed me approaching. I didn’t bother with pleasantries.

“You’re coming with me.” My voice was cold, leaving no room for argument. Ryan frowned, clearly confused. “What? Bro, are you okay?” I clenched my jaw. “I said, you’re coming with me.” Ryan scoffed. “Listen, man, I’m not in the mood. Just go away.” He turned to leave.
Big mistake. “I don’t give a fuck about your mood,” I growled before landing a solid punch on his face. His head snapped back as he stumbled, holding his cheek in shock. “The hell is wrong with you?” he spat, glaring at me. I smirked. “Wrong move, buddy.” Before he could react, I punched him again, this time in the stomach. He doubled over, groaning in pain, before collapsing onto the ground. Without hesitation, I grabbed him by the hair and started dragging him toward my car. He struggled weakly, but it was useless. “Let me go, man!” he gasped. “What do you want from me?”
