Luca’s Perspective

After Isabelle stormed into the room, I followed her. I couldn’t risk anything now, not after what had happened earlier. She needed to understand that trying to escape was useless. As I pushed the door open, she was already sitting on the bed, arms crossed, her face filled with frustration. “Now what do you want, Luca?” she asked, glaring at me. I leaned against the doorframe, my arms crossed over my chest. “I don’t want anything, Isabelle. Just don’t try to run again. Otherwise, there will be serious consequences. And I’m damn serious.” My voice was cold, firm. I needed her to understand that I wasn’t playing games. She rolled her eyes. “Whatever.” I clenched my jaw. She is seriously testing my patience. “Don’t roll your eyes at me, Isabelle,” I warned. “Or what?” she shot back, rolling her eyes again just to challenge me. A smirk crept onto my lips. “I think I should come over there and show you exactly what I’ll do.” Her eyes narrowed.

“Don’t you dare come towards me. I will chop your dick off and make you eat it.” I let out a deep laugh. Damn. My wolf and I were both turned on by her words. She had fire, and I loved every bit of it. The things I wanted to do to her… if it weren’t for the problems at the pack borders, I would’ve taught her a lesson right now. I exhaled deeply, controlling my desires. “I’ll let you go this time, sweetheart.” Chuckling, I stormed out of the room and locked the door behind me. She needed to cool off. As I stepped out of the penthouse, I felt my wolf, Zydus, stirring with impatience. The rogue attacks were getting worse, and I needed to handle them before they became a bigger problem. Without wasting another second, I ran into the forest and shifted into my wolf form. Zydus took control instantly, his powerful black body blending into the darkness of the trees. He let out a deep howl, letting everyone know that their alpha was coming. After a few minutes, I reached the pack borders.

The battle was already in full swing—rogues clashed with my warriors, blood staining the ground. I saw a few rogues already dead, their bodies lying motionless. I scanned the battlefield and spotted my Beta, Eric, fighting two rogue wolves at once. Then my eyes landed on another rogue, sneaking up behind him, ready to pounce. Not on my watch. With a powerful leap, I launched myself at the rogue, my claws digging into his neck. A sickening crunch filled the air as I snapped his bones, leaving him lifeless. Zydus growled in satisfaction. He loved to torture enemies, and I wasn’t stopping him tonight. We fought for hours, ripping through the remaining rogues until none were left standing. My warriors were strong, and together, we wiped the land clean of threats. Shifting back into my human form, I grabbed the clothes Eric handed me and dressed quickly. “Is everyone okay?” I asked, scanning the surroundings. “Yes, Alpha,” Eric confirmed. I nodded, turning to my warriors. “Good job, everyone. Go home and rest.” They all nodded in unison before dispersing. Eric stayed back, waiting for further orders. “Arrange meetings with the other Alphas,” I ordered. “These attacks are getting worse.”

“On it,” he replied. Once everything was handled, I made my way back to the penthouse. As soon as I stepped inside, my eyes went straight to the bed. My beautiful mate was curled up, sleeping peacefully. I felt my heart soften at the sight of her. She looked so small, so fragile in my bed. I stripped off my clothes and stepped into the shower, letting the hot water wash away the blood and dirt from the battle. I took my time, standing under the water for forty minutes, letting my muscles relax. Once I was done, I dried off and walked straight to the bed. Sliding under the covers, I pulled Isabelle close to me. Her body fit perfectly against mine, her warmth seeping into my skin. She stirred slightly but didn’t wake up. I stared at her for a moment, taking in every detail—her long lashes, her soft lips, the way her chest rose and fell with each breath. Leaning down, I pressed a soft kiss against her forehead. “You’re mine, Isabelle,” I whispered. With her safely in my arms, I closed my eyes and let sleep take over.
