Luca’s POV

Lying beside my mate, I watched her as she slept peacefully. Her chest rose and fell in a steady rhythm, her soft breaths filling the quiet room. Her hair was a mess, strands sticking to her slightly damp skin, but to me, she had never looked more beautiful. Last night had been the best night of my life. I remembered everything—the way she had called my name, the way her body responded to mine, the way she completely surrendered to me. She was so pure, so perfect. Just thinking about it made my wolf, Zydus, growl in satisfaction. "She’s ours now," Zydus murmured in my head. "Damn right, she is," I replied, smirking. I traced my fingers lightly over the fresh mark on her neck, my mark, proof that she was mine and no one else’s.

My possessiveness over her had always been strong, but now? Now, I didn’t think I could ever keep my hands off her. The thought of anyone else even looking at her made my blood boil. I let out a deep breath, forcing myself to calm down. It was a good thing the heat happened to her. If it hadn’t, who knows how long I would have had to wait? I had been craving her for so long, wanting to claim her, to make her completely mine. And last night, everything I had been waiting for finally happened. Zydus was unusually calm, which was rare. He was satisfied, content now that our mate was fully bonded to us. I just didn’t know how Isabelle would react when she woke up. Would she be scared? Regretful? Or would she finally accept that she belonged with me? I sighed and ran a hand through my hair. It was better to let her rest. She had been through a lot. I decided to take a quick shower before she woke up. Maybe the cold water would help clear my head.

Carefully, I pulled the blanket over her, making sure she was warm. Then, I got up and stretched, feeling the satisfying soreness in my muscles. Smirking, I made my way toward the bathroom, still replaying every single moment of last night in my mind.

Isabelle’s POV

As I slowly woke up, I felt more rested than ever. It was the best sleep of my life. My body felt warm, relaxed, and—strangely—completely at peace. But as I moved slightly, a soreness spread through me, reminding me of everything that had happened last night. I reached down to pull the blanket away from my body, but the moment the cool air touched my skin, I froze. I was naked. A sudden rush of memories flooded my mind—Luca’s touch, his kisses, the way he made me feel like I was his and only his. My cheeks burned with embarrassment, and I quickly gripped the blanket tighter around me. What had I done? Oh god. Before I could think any further, the bathroom door opened, and Luca stepped out. He had a towel wrapped loosely around his waist, water droplets still clinging to his toned chest. My eyes widened as I took in his appearance. Damn. He looked sexy as hell.

“Morning, mate,” Luca greeted with a smirk. His voice was deep and smooth, sending shivers down my spine. “How are you feeling?” I swallowed hard, trying to push away the inappropriate thoughts creeping into my mind. “Uh—I’m good. Thanks for asking,” I managed to say, avoiding his intense gaze. Luca tilted his head slightly, watching me with amusement. “You should take a shower. After that, we’ll have dinner.” I nodded, but then I hesitated. “Can you go outside?” I asked, hoping he would respect my privacy. Luca chuckled. “It’s not like I haven’t seen something before, little mate.” My face turned bright red as flashes of last night replayed in my head. Oh god. I was blushing so hard. “Just go out, idiot,” I muttered, rolling my eyes. “No, little mate. I’m staying here,” he said casually. “But Luc—” I stopped mid-sentence when I noticed something strange. Luca’s usual deep blue eyes were no longer there. Instead, they had turned black and golden. My heart started to race. “Luca… why are your eyes different?” I asked, feeling a shiver run down my spine. Luca’s lips curled into a smirk, but the way he looked at me wasn’t the same. His presence felt… different
