AU#1 what happened Jinx/Powder x Reader

Chapter 17

After figuring out what we could do we all went to bed Victor let me take his bed as he took the couch and Jayce slept on the floor I tried to tell Victor that I'll take the couch or the floor I didn't mind but he was pretty persistent that I take the bed

When I woke up the next morning I saw clothes on the edge of the bed and a note I got up and went over grabbing the note to read it

^hey kid just to let you know that Mel brought over some clothes for you I understand they aren't your style but you need to look presentable it's just a button up white shirt with black dress pants please do not fight us on this she also brought over some stuff so you can go take a shower she also bought you a toothbrush and toothpaste after you're done getting ready Jayce is making breakfast I can't I don't trust him so I'm supervising him but food will be ready will be heading to the meeting with the counselor after we're done eating so hurry up the food should be done once you're out of the shower and ready to go^

I put the note down as I grab the clothes I also noticed that there was some black dress shoes by the door and black socks to go with them I wanted to the bathroom finding the stuff she left there was also some extractions of how to use them there was body wash shampoo conditioner and a razor there was also some deodorant by the toothpaste and toothbrush

After I was finished I got dressed my hair was lighter and fluffier than it normally was I looked at my left eye I quickly looked around the bathroom and found some wraps I quickly grabbed the left side of my face and put my hair over to cover not wanting anyone to see it

I left the bathroom and went to go put on the shoes after I was done that I exit the room smelling something burning

"Jayce we don't want to burn the kitchen down let me" Victor sounded panicked "I got it" while Jesus sounded a little bit painted but confident I went in the kitchen seeing a fire on the stove both of them was looking at something else which just made me shake my head "if you don't wanna burn the kitchen then you may want to turn off the stove because there's a fire" both of them looked over at the stove both of them yelling

"so have neither one of you cooked before" I looked between the two after the mess calm down "not really we both normally relying on the cafeteria or stuff we could just buy and cook in the microwave" I shook my head as I grab some stuff to make pancakes "go sit down you two and go over your speech I can handle the food" they both looked at each other but I just shoot them out of the kitchen and got to work

After a couple minutes of cooking I was finally done I made some pancakes, eggs, bacon stuffed normally for breakfast I put everything on the table and went to go grab them

"all right boys food is done" both of them got up and followed me in the dining room "smells good" I look back to see both of their drawers dropped as they saw the table "how did you your 11 how did you cook all this" Jayce was freaking out as we sat at the table "I used to work in a bar in the undercity is where I live naturally we all had jobs mine was to cook" both of them look surprised "I actually enjoyed it that's where me and my family lived the person took care of us own the place of course he wouldn't let us man the bar or deal alcohol the jobs we normally did because none of us was over the age of 21 was to either cook, clean, or serve food" both of them nod their heads as we started to eat

"this is good probably the best thing I've tasted in a while" Jayce was practically drawing "I have to agree with you this is really good" I was glad that they both really liked my cooking "you know if this goes to plan she can cook all the time since neither one of us know how to" I looked at Jayce "so I'm gonna be your cook and your lab rat" both of them looked at each other and shook her head no "no of course not you're not gonna be a lab rat kid we're not gonna use you like that we understand that you're human and we understand your young we just want to see what we can learn from you we will respect your boundaries and if you say no or that's enough for the day or for even a week we won't bother you we want you to be a part of our team not just an experiment"

I looked at both of them surprised "I don't understand" they both gave me a pitiful look "kid you're a human being we're not gonna use you have you've not had that choice" I look down fiddling with my fingers "kind of I guess I mean I've been working since I was young stealing sometimes items sometimes about information if I got tired I was told to suck it up and keep going the only time I really had a choice was if everyone that I was working with when I got older decided that we need a break or if I needed time to recover but even then it was limited"

I felt a hand on my shoulder looking up it was Jayce "you don't have to worry about that now kid we're here with you and we're not going to use you we'll treat you like a human being we promise we understand that there's some things that we can't give you but I think maybe we can bend the rules a little bit" I looked at Victor seeing if this was all true "yes I think we can make a deal with the council or something like that we understand that we probably can't get you a lot of stuff like weapons and dangerous stuff like that but I think we can come to agreement later on" 

I gave both of them a smile of course I wasn't gonna let it get to my head knowing that they are probably lying but it's worth a chance to give them a chance I guess
