Chapter 44

After we finished talking with Caitlyn I decided it was time for Zepher to meet Jayce and Victor we got here in the afternoon it was already getting dark I guess we spent most of the day with Caitlyn I was caring my son since he was asleep

I finally got back to the dorm I open the door to be immediately meet with yelling

"WELCOME BACK"

I started to laugh at their excitement "hey you two it's been awhile" I put my son on the couch as I went to go hug them "it has kid we missed you a lot" I pulled away from them both to see them looking at my left side of my face "kid you eye" Jayce put his hand on my face as I started to laugh "yeah that" I was a little bit nervous to see how they would react "is this why you always kept the left side of your face hidden" I nodded my head in response "well you eye looks beautiful" Jayce ran his thumb underneath my left eye making me smile "thanks"

"Mom" I turned my head at the tire voice of my son "i'm right here moonshine" I went over to him picking him up as he rubbed both of his eyes "so this is the little squirt" Victor padded Zepher head as Jayce went to go grab something "yep this is my son Zepher" moonshine hided his face in my chest as he gave Victor the side eye "here we got this for him" Jayce handed him a box he was a little bit hesitant but took it he open the box to review a crescent moon necklace kind of like the one I had "we know everyone in your family has a crescent moon on them well did so we thought why not get him something we found it and we thought it would look nice on him" I looked at the necklace closer recognizing it to be my grandfathers "it's perfect" Zepher put on the necklace as he just put his head back on my shoulder "mommy i'm tired" my eyes went wide for a moment but then I just smiled "all right let's get you to bed it is late" I followed Victor and Jayce to my room

"we did have to move some stuff around for the little one" they open the door to reveal my bedroom it had another bed in the room my bed was still by the window as Zippers was right beside mine "we had to move one of your desks out to make room for the bed hope you don't know" I shook my head as I went into the room putting my son down on his bad "I don't mind at all" I kissed my son on the forehead as he covered himself up to tired to get out of his clothes I shook my head as I shut the door behind me heading out to catch up with Jayce and Victor

"so how was your time there" me and Jayce sat at the kitchen table as Victor went to go grab us some hot chocolate "it was good really good I made some new friends their like my siblings I've learned a lot and I just had fun it was nice getting away but I'm happy to be back" Victor set the hot chocolate in front of us as he sat in his seat "that's good kid we're glad you had fun and we're glad you made some new friends and family the council is letting you have a few days off from working to get adjusted back to being here they're also giving you time to help Zepher get used to the place" Jayce explained as I took a sip from my hot chocolate "that's good but I don't mind working right away I'm actually gonna need something to keep my mind off some shit" both of them looked at me a little confused "kid is everything all right" Victor put his hand on top of mind "yeah it's fine just I don't know I guess I'm just gonna be missing everyone that I met there and" I wouldn't look at them I only looked out the window "I still missed them it's been years but"

I knew they both understood what I was trying to get at I didn't have to finish "we understand kid don't worry we do still think you should take some time off to spend time with Zepher to help and get him adjusted to the place" I started to nod me head repeatedly as Victor tried to comfort me "the council do want to meet with you tomorrow it's just to go over everything with you so that will keep your mind off it for a while" Jayce started to talk about different stuff that would be going on to help me get my mind off of them

"yeah well I need to go to bed then I'll see you two in the morning" both of them gave me a reassuring smile as I took my cup to the kitchen "just leave it by the sink I'll wash it" I looked back at Jayce raising an eyebrow "can I trust you to wash dishes do you remember what happened last time" Victor started to laugh as Jayce got defensive "oh come on it was only three" I looked at Victor as he just shook his "no Jayce it was ten every cup you pick up when you try to wash them it breaks somehow I'll get the dishes" Jayce just crossed his arms sulking as I just laughed "I missed you guys" both of them turn their heads to me giving me a smile "we miss you to kid now go get some sleep you need it"

I put my hands up as I walked to my room I put my hand on the door as I shaking my head a little bit at those two I took in a deep breath as I open the door seeing Zepher spread out on his bed already deep in sleep I went over to the drawers and pulled out two sets of pajamas one for me and one for him his pajamas has little wolfs on them and some moons while mine was what I normally wear to bed I went over to Zepher and got him change so he wasn't sleeping in jeans

I exit the room and went to the bathroom I did my night routine brushing my teeth brushing my hair that shit and got change in my pajamas once I got back in the room I lay down on my bed looking up at the ceiling a smile hit my face as I looked around I close my eyes feeling the sleepiness take over falling into a deep sleep
