I stood there in disbelief not knowing what to say "(y/n) let's just go" Caitlyn put a hand on my shoulder to try and get me to leave "take that name out of your mouth" he held up a bat pointing it at Caitlyn I shook my head as I smile "you've changed a lot little engineer you know that" he drop the baseball at the nickname "what did you call me" I shook my head as I already felt tears going to the corners of my eyes as I step forward "you know out of all these years I never thought... fuck I'm happy to see you again little engineer" I stood right in front of him as I my hand out to takeoff his hooded and mask "(e's/n)" I took off his hood and slid his mask off him

He had an hourglass paining on his face he also had tears rolling down his eyes "hey little engineer it's all right i'm here" I put my hand on his cheek wiping away his tears "(E'S/N)" he wrapped his arms around me giving me a hug making me laugh I put my right hand on the back of his head as my left hand was on his back with the mask "hey hey it's ok it's ok I'm here I'm here now i'm not letting you go" I close my eyes letting some tears slip he held on tight to the back of my jacket as he cried "I thought.." he pulled away look me in the eyes "I thought you were dead" I put both of my hands on his cheeks wiping away his tears "Vi... everyone said that you were dead that you died in the explosion how are you" I shook my head as I chuckled "I know and I'm so sorry for that I'll explain everything I promise why don't we head somewhere else though so we're not surrounded I missed you so much little engineer" he nodded his head as he took a step back "yeah we can head to my base come on I'll show you the way" I put a hand on his shoulder as I turned my head slightly to look at Caitlyn "come on let's go" she was still looking at me like I was insane but just follow

It was quiet on the walk there I still had my hand on his shoulder since he had his on top of mine squeezing my hand to make sure I wasn't a ghost he would always turn his head looking at me just to make sure it was me

When we got to a dead end he knocked on the wall about three times waiting for someone to open it once it was open he let us inside

"welcome to the firelight bass" I looked around at the area amazed it has a giant tree in the middle of the place grass rivers and the air didn't seem toxic "it's amazing" I turned my head slightly as he nodded his head "it is I found this place a while ago a couple years ago actually and I knew this place was perfect to have like a hang out" I gave him a nod as I followed him I turned my head slightly looking at my sister "you look around for him I'm gonna go talk" she gave me a slight nod as she started to look around the place

Ekko took me to another room he shut the door once we were in I turned around to look at him but he immediately ran to give me another hug "I thought I would never see you again everyone said you were dead and... how are you alive and why didn't you come back soon" I let out a nervous laugh as I sat down "I wanted to come back sooner I really did but I couldn't I made a deal and in that deal it stated I could never come back here that I can never really see you guys again and I am so sorry" he sat down on the arm of the chair patting my shoulder "how are you alive though they said that you got caught up in the explosion that you were in the room with it" I nodded my head as I looked at him "I was technically I was dead for a day I accidentally swallowed some of those crystals that caused the explosion it's called hextech I accidentally swallowed a few pieces of it it's the only thing that's really keeping my body alive my heart pumping my breathing is really the only thing that's keeping me alive I can't function without it but luckily it's in my blood system for ever I think I won't die with it in me that sounds wrong" I started to laugh "so why didn't you come back what do you mean by a deal and who is that with you"

I took a deep breath "ok well who is with me is pretty simple her name is Caitlyn she's a friend of mine she's like my sister she's also an enforcer" he jumped a little bit as I put both of my hands up trying to calm him down "before you go out there trying to beat her up let me explain" he looked at me and then the door but decided to sit back down "ok I've known her before she was even enforces and the reason why she became one was to help the people down here I told her about different stories that what we faced and she said that she'll try to do her best to help us you know not judge so quickly everything like that she could probably help us she was already trying to help and keep them from coming down here" he put his hand on his chin as he started to think "so that's the reason why they haven't been coming down here these last few years" I nodded my head slightly "all right but what about the deal you made"

I took another deep breath as I started to fiddle with my hands "well there was three options I could've picked option number one if I come back down here enforces would have come and took me Vi Mylo and Claggor away option number two I stay in Piltover become to scientists lab rat since I got magic powers from the crystal I behave I follow the rules they do not come down here and try to take Vi Mylo and Claggor away and you guys are safe well but I can't be down here option number three is me going to South water the prison having no clue if you guys are safe and sound until if I don't know those three show up" I took a pause as I took a deep breath "so I took the second option I said I'll stay as long as you guys stay together and you guys are safe that I'll stay and I'll behave I will become the scientist his lap rat and.... as long as you guys were safe I didn't care what they did to me I just wanted to make sure you guys were safe and sound I miss you guys so much but" I looked away from him as tears started to pour down "I didn't wanna risk you guys being separated I was willing to take the blame I was willing to be trapped up there as long as you guys are still together and happy I understand I hurt you all and I know you guys probably hate me for it but I couldn't bring myself to separate you guys if it's just one of us it wasn't be that big of a deal especially me so I chose the second option to keep you guys together I don't want..." I couldn't finish as it was getting too hard to speak

Ekko wrapped his arms around me pulling me into his chest so I could cry "(e's/n) I don't hate you for it I understand all you had to do is explain it to me and I understand I would've picked the second option as well keep everyone together I understand promise I understand but losing you was the hardest thing any of us faced not having you here tortured us all we missed you so much I still do I... I didn't wanna believe Deckard when he came running in saying he saw you that you were still alive we all thought he was just on something but..... i'm just happy you're back"

We both stayed like that just holding each other it felt like forever but we needed it we both needed it "i'm so sorry little engineer I know I hurt you guys more than anything but I never stop thinking about you guys anything I always wanted to come back but I never could I just I don't know how you guys wouldn't want to seeing me or anything for years I thought you guys would hate me for the choice I made" and he pulled my head up so I could look at him "none of us could hate you not even if we tried we all love you too much I understand why you did it I think any of us in our situation would've took that deal to keep everyone together trust me no one will blame you for it and if they do I'll beat the sense into them" I started to laugh as I just wrapped my arms around him again hugging him
