"A moment of your time."

"C-Commandant?"

"Hi..." The Commandant noticed Alpha, Luna, and Lucia all together when he entered the room. They looked at him and he looked back. "How's it going, everyone?"

"Besides in this constant warfare of peace. I am displeased as I lack... MOTIVATION." Alpha frowned.

"I see... How about I take you to our next mission next time?"

"... That will manage." Alpha nodded at the suggestion.

"What brings you here Commandant?" Luna asked.

"Just checking in. Wanting to make sure that everyone is doing fine. Also, I need to speak to Lucia as well."

"Me?" Lucia blinked with surprise as she pointed at herself.

"If it's not much to ask that is. I can always speak with you another time. Seems like the three of you are busy—"

"We're not doing much." Luna said calmly.

"Indeed. We were just spending some quality time together. Suffice to say that it has been rather... pleasant." Alpha hummed.

"I'm glad to hear that big sister." Luna smiled brightly as everyone clutched their hearts at the cuteness.

"Where are we going Commandant?" Lucia asked the man as she followed him from behind.

"..."

She was met with silence as the man continued walking. She stared at the back of his head wondering why he's come to seek her. Alongside speaking with her.

After a short while, they reached a secluded area. The Commandant blinked a bit as he turned around and looked at Lucia as he smiled. "How's everything?"

"Hmm?" Lucia was confused by the question at hand. "Everything? Well... I suppose you can say that I am fine."

"That's good... That's good..." The Commandant nodded as he crossed his arms and sat down on a chair. Lucia sat down on the opposite end of the table and continued to look at him. "There's something I wished to discuss with you about."

"...?"

"You have my thanks, Lucia."

"... Huh?" Lucia blinked as she saw the Captain look away from her. Staring out the glass and into space. "My... thanks?"

"You've worked so hard. Harder than many might I include. I guess you can say I just wish to tell you how happy I really am to have you by my side."

"..." Lucia blushed at the words but regardless continued to stare deeply at the man who went quiet for a bit.

"I'm sorry I never noticed."

"...?" She blinked repeatedly at his words. All of this is confusing to her. What is he trying to say?

"You know Lucia. If you ever wanna curse me out, yell at me, you're free to do so." The Commandant turned to look at Lucia. "This foolish man never noticed yours or everyone else's feelings."

...

Ah... So that's what he meant.

"!!!" Lucia's mind suddenly went blank at the words.

H-He knows?!

The Commandant noticed Lucia's surprise and simply smiled as he got up from his chair and sighed heavily. "This may be sudden to talk about. Feelings that is. You were always by my side. Even sacrificing yourself to protect me and that I'm safe. I never noticed how much you felt for me... How much you care for me you know? For all that you've gone through, I wish to apologize for not noticing anything."
