LEO WALKED INTO the kitchen and smelt the mouth watering aroma of green peppers and chicken. Antonella was making the tacos and Emily was making the side salad.

Leo smiled at the women in his life. he was glad to see Emily finally come out of her shell and interacting with them.

"hey mi amor" Antonella said and gave him a peck on the cheek. "hi , you're still busy?" he asked and took a seat on the other side of the island.

Antonella nodded her head. "it will be ready in about 10 minutes" she said and he nodded his head in understanding.

"where's the cucumber?" Emily asked in a soft voice and Anto pointed to the fridge.

"it's up high cause i always find Ciro eating it" she said , causing both Emily and Leo to laugh.

as Leo looked at Emily , he saw that she looked a lot like Valentina and he still couldn't believe that she was a mixture between the two of them.

"Emily" Leo said and she looked up to face him. "we would like for you to continue to go to school" he said and she cut the cucumbers.

"i want to continue too. would i have to go to public school?" she asked. she had always been homeschooled , it was just something she was comfortable with , but she also wanted to try new things.

"would you like to? you could always choose to be homeschooled" he answered. Emily thought about the idea before nodding her head.

"i'd like to take a chance to go to public school" she answered and he nodded his head.

"although," Anto started , causing them to look at her. "we will consider a private school. we can't take risks now that people know who you are"

Emily thought about it. Antonella had a point. they would definitely treat her differently and she didn't want that.

"how about we talk to Sofi and Luis about that school in town where Delfina goes?" Anto asked Leo and he nodded his head.

"i will" he said and Emily frowned. "who are they?" she asked as she poured italian dressing over the bowl of salad.

"Luis is my best friend and Sofi is his wife. Delfina is their daughter" Leo explained briefly and Emily nodded her head in understanding.

Emily washed her hands and dried it. "can i set the table?" she asked Antonella who smiled and nodded her head.

Emily walked out of the kitchen , leaving the two adults and saw her three brothers sitting on the couch in the living room , playing Xbox.

she shook her head with a smile and began to set the table. she was proud at the results at the end and told Antonella that she was done.

"this is beautiful. where did you learn to do this?" Anto asked as she saw the things placed perfectly beside each other.

"i always loved doing it. practise makes perfecr" she said and Anto smiled before setting the food down.

Leo walked in , complimenting the food and the table.

"Emily , please call the  boys for me" Antonella said as she put the water on the tabke.

Emily walked to where her little brothers were playing their games.

"boys , dinner" she said and they groaned. "come on , your mom is calling" she said and they all put the controllers down on the couches before trailing after her towards the dining room.

Emily sat next to Anto and Ciro while Mateo and Thiago sat next to their dad.

"come on guys , let's say a prayer"
