PAPARAZZI WERE EVERYWHERE ,trying to get answers from any of them. they almost blocked the whole airport but the Messi family didn't care and continued to walk to the back where their jet was.

Emily gripped her suitcases as she followed her family ,not caring about the questions the journalists threw her way.

today they were leaving to go back to Miami because Emily had some upcoming tests she had to write for school. no matter how much they all wanted to stay in Barcelona for a little longer , Leo and Anto made sure her education come first.

the securities opened the door and Leo thanked them. "look" Anto said with an excited smile as Emily looked ahead.

everyone stood there. the Barça boys , Mikky , Delfi , Junior and a girl she didn't recognise.

Emily smiled widely as she ran over to them , engulfing Delfi in a hug. "what are you guys doing here?" she asked once she pulled away from the hug they were engulfing her in.

"we couldn't let you go back to the US without a proper goodbye" Mikky said and Emily gave her a look. "it's not like i'd forget you all" she said.

"we know you won't be able to come visit anytime soon because of school so we had to come" Pedri explained and Emily smiled.

she then glanced at the girl that was standing beside Mikky and the first thing she noticed , were her eyes.

it was an electric blue and it almost had Emily starstruck for a moment.

"hi , i'm Sage. Mikky told me all about you" the girl named Sage said and put her hand out. Emily took her hand in hers and gave the girl a smile before shaking her hand.

"i'm Emily , nice to meet you" she said as they pulled their hands away. "where are you from? i can tell by the accent you aren't from around here..." Emily said , trailing off.

"oh , i'm from Canada. I recently just moved here with my sister" she said with a smile and Emily nodded in understanding , glancing at Pedri who crossed his arms and looked at his shoes as if they were the most interesting things on the planet.

"i hope we can become friends when i visit Barcelona next time" Emily said and the girl nodded her head.  "definitely" she replied.

"and you? we saw each other a couple of hours ago" Emily rolled her eyes with a smile as she looked at Gavi.

"Xavi gave us off to come greet you guys and i really wanted to say goodbye so..." he trailed off , putting his hands in the pockets of his sweatpants.

"i still have your tshirt..." Emily trailed off and he shook his head. "keep it"

it was silent between everyone and the tension grew thick. Leo furrowed his brows and Anto cleared her throat.

"i'll miss you guys , though. thanks for taking the time out of your day to come greet me" she said and Frenkie rolled his eyes with a smile.

"we're always here for you , Em" he said and she gave each of them a hug again , Sage this time included.

"please don't forget about us" Ansu said and Emily scoffed. "there's no way i can" she said and Junior nodded his head.
