➟ ▪︎ New House.
EMILY SCANNED HER dark eyes over the new house , a smile playing on her lips as she observed it. it was beautiful but very different from the one back in Barcelona.
they had been here for a few days and Emily had gotten used to Rosarío's weather once again. the house was already decorated since Anto had all the colour schemes and new furniture already bought.
"what do you think?" Anto asked as she stood behind Emily. the girl looked up to see a diamond chandelier hanging above her head. "this is beautiful" she spoke and Anto smiled.
"you haven't seen everything yet. come on, i'll show you" Anto spoke and Leo guided them towards the living room. the first thing she saw was a huge opening above the fireplace. "that's where our new family photo will be" Leo said and Emily smiled.
"look" Mateo said , pointing to the white walls and Emily let out a soft gasp when she saw the different kinds of photos on there.
it had Emily almost in each and every one of them. the black and white photos made the living room look like an art museum.
there were photos of them at Delfi's party , in Rosarío on her mom's birthday and some photos of them all at Camp Nou.
"here , we made this for you" Anto spoke and pointed to another black and white photo. the photo contained a picture of Emily and Valentina. it was the same picture she had in her gold locket.
Emily just stared at it for a while , feeling tears pool in her dark eyes as she noticed how the picture blended in with the rest of the pictures on the wall. like it belonged there.
"this is beautiful. I love and appreciate this so much" Emily said and gave her parents each a short hug.
"we know you'd like it. would you like to see your room?" Antonella asked the girl who nodded her head. Emily walked behind Anto up the stairs towards her new room while Ciro , Mateo and Thiago went with their father.
Antonella opened the cream coloured door of the room on the right and Emily was welcomed into a empty room with just a bed and doors to a balcony.
"i just got the bed for you since i wanted you to decorate the room yourself" Antonella said and Emily smiled before giving her a quick hug. "gracias , this is...i appreciate it" she said since she didn't know what else to say.
Antonella and Leo had been very good to her ever since she came into the family. she scanned her brown eyes over the her new room ,letting a smile break out on her lips.
"i'll leave you to it so you can decide what you want to do" Antonella spoke and left a kiss on her forehead before exiting the room.
Emily took her phone out of her pocket deciding to call Delfi to pass the time. she already knew what she was going to do with the room and how she would like to decorate it.
Delfina picked up in three rings , her bright smile appearing on Emily's screen. "he" Emily spoke. "i miss you , come back" Delfi whined as she propped the phone up on something.
"i wish i could , Delfi" Emily sighed because it was true. she missed her friends every second of the day.
"i've been so bored lately and no one is here to spend time with me" Delfi pouted and Emily frowned. "what about Junior?" the dark haired girl asked since Delfi and Junior were inseperable.
"he went back to Madrid for training. he left Monday and i've been feeling so alone without you both'' she let out a breath.
"don't cry about it. think of it as a good thing" Emily said , trying to cheer her best friend up but Delfi gave her a look. "so me being bored and alone is a good thing?"
Emily playfully rolled her eyes. "of course not , but maybe it's time for you to spend time with yourself and figuring out what you like to do. instead of being around people the whole time" Emily suggested.
Delfi just sighed and sat back in her chair before pursing her lips. "you're right. I'm way too dependable on other people instead of learning how to be alone" she admitted and Emily smiled.
"look at Delfina Suarez being a wise 13 year old" Emily joked causing the brunette to rolled her eyes as she smiled.
"so , we just got our new house and look at this view" Emily spoke as she held the phone. she opened the door to the balcony , letting a soft breeze flow into the room.
she stood at the top and flipped the camera , so that Delfina could see the beautiful view that she had. "i wish i was you" Delfi groaned as Emily moved the phone around and showed her the view.
"i swear i'm getting tired of seeing Amelia's face everyday" Delfi said and Emily flipped the camera once again , looking at Delfi. "she's still talking to you?" Emily asked and Delfi shook her head.
"not really. but she makes snide comments when i'm near sometimes" she spoke and Emily shook her head at the idea of the girl she used to call a friend.
the two continued to talk for a while , Emily just catching up on everything that happened in Barcelona while she was in Rosarío.
apparently , Pedri had his eyes on this new Canadian girl that had — and to quote what Delfi said— was one of the most beautiful girls she had ever seen.
Emily smiled as she saw how Delfi gushed about the girl and how beautiful , nice , sweet and kind she was. the dark haired girl were also happy for Pedri who was like her older brother.
she knew he didn't really like getting into relationships and the girl he once dated — Isabella— had made him hate romance.
"when is Hulk arriving?" Delfi asked as she now ate some peanuts. "he came yesterday but he's at abuela Celia's house until tomorrow when we officially move in" Emily spoke and Delfi nodded her head in understanding.
"you have to show me the room once you're done decorating" Delfi said and Emily nodded her had with a smile. they continued to talk until Delfi had to go and study for a test and the two bid each other goodbye before Emily hung up.
she closed the doors of the balcony and walked downstairs where everyone was. Leo looked at his daughter and smiled before pulling her closer to him.
"you hungry?" he asked her as they all walked out of the house and Emily gave her dad a look. "is that even a question?" she said causing Leo to laugh as they walked towards the vehicle.
