Chapter 15 - Knight Jin

When you left the dining hall you saw Seokjin in the distance

'Hey stranger' you shouted and he directly turned around by the echoes of your voice through the empty hallway.

He smiled as soon as his eyes landed on you, then he bowed.

You rushed towards him

'Princes y/n'

'Long time no see Jin' you answered with a big smile on your face

'Yes, and time has been very kind to you princess.' Jin answered.

You became a little shy at his compliment as you understood he meant your appearance

'Time does not matter for your beauty it seems' you replied

'As I am always beautiful?' Seokjin asked

'Naturally' you confirmed

'Where have you been l, up until now?' you asked him

'I had to unpack and I went over the safety measures with your knight while you had dinner'

'Ah of course' you said while nodding your head in understanding

'Speak of the devil' Seokjin said with a smirk as he looked sideways. You saw Jungkook approaching

'So I gather you enjoyed your knights-catching-up-time?' you asked both the gentleman in front of you.

Jungkook chuckled 'yes it has been a very fruitful meeting once again'

The way he said it in such a sarcastic manner you just knew they had been joking around again. Jungkook could be so serious about his job but always if Seokjin was around they'd go full-on joking mode.

'I am missing your brother here though' Seokjin said

'Yes we all do' you agreed. Jungkook also nodded in agreement.

'It seemed you were catching up and I do not want to intrude' Jungkook said out of nowhere, well it was pretty accurate and he had been perceptive for sure

'No problem' you quickly reassured him

'Though I still am curious about what you've been up to and how you are doing. Care for a walk?' you then asked Seokjin

Seokjin bowed again 'of course princess y/n'

A little while later you were walking through the gardens of the palace. There was a cool breeze this evening but Jungkook had made sure you weren't cold by fetching your coat.

He was walking behind you at a distance again. It seemed abundant as you were already with a knight that could protect you but your mother had been clear that Jungkook had to be there and you also didn't want him to get into trouble by challenging that. You had also invited him to join you and Jin for the walk but he wanted to give you space to catch up privately.

In a way that you appreciated that as well.

'I guess we are fine but my mother is very focused on finding a match for me.'

'Yes prince Yoongi mentioned something like that.

'It seems that it is the most important duty of a princess

'Marriage isn't all bad, you will have a companion as well' Jin replied calmly

'Remember when I proclaimed I'd marry you?' you said while laughing.

Jin also started laughing as the memory came back to his mind.

'I do remember that yes, we were so young back then, I also still remember how everyone turned silent'
