Taehyung took your words to heart because he was gone before dinner commenced that day. on one hand, you were relieved that you didn't need to face him after the hurtful things he had said to you, but a small part of you naively hoped that he would return to your door and tell you he was lying. That he was confused about what happened, that he was too drunk to think straight, anything that could explain how he went from "would you give me a chance" to sucking someone's face off.

But he didn't

Furthermore, you had no chance to say goodbye to Jimin which upset you as well. In the past months, you didn't only grow closer to Taehyung but also to his knight, and without the two of them around it was so much quieter.

A day turned into a week and a week into a month and before you knew it was turning into winter. Not officially but it was as cold as winter. Officially it was still autumn but, in your eyes, the December month belonged to the winter.

You weren't too sure how long you had given yourself to be sad, not nearly enough that much you were sure of. The moment he had left the castle your mother had been asking questions that you deliberately ignored or answered vaguely. You didn't want to admit to your pain because firstly it wouldn't get you anywhere and secondly it would be admitting that you had felt for his stupid tricks, one that caused your pride to be damaged.

Jungkook in contrast treated you as if you were a porcelain doll, he was sweeter than he usually was (which was already difficult in his case) and he had this constant mixture of pity and compassion in your eyes, which you loathed.

You were taking your morning walk in the cold breeze, your mother wasn't ready for breakfast yet, so you took this opportunity. You were considering what you were going to do today. There were some lessons lined up for you, but you were also longing for a ride with Vincent. At some point in winter the temperature becomes uncomfortably cold, today that wasn't the case so perhaps it was good to seize the moment.

'Princess y/n'

You heard Jungkook's voice from behind you and you turned around. You had to admit that the winter outfit for the knights was one of your favorites. Perhaps the warm coats made him look dreamier.

You smiled to yourself for thinking this way. You couldn't blame yourself though, Jungkook was a beautiful man, and putting him in such clothes made him even more attractive.

'Jungkook'

'Your mother was wondering if you could join her for breakfast' he explained

'Alright' you replied with a nod 'Walk with me?' you asked him

'Certainly'

You walked side by side back to the palace

'Jungkook, shall I take Vincent for a ride today or shall I stick to my proposed lessons?'

You asked your knight partly because he could help you with the decision but also because since your mother and Jungkook became aware that you went outside the palace grounds when riding you weren't allowed to go by yourself anymore.

You accepted it, but for now, you were already happy when your mother finally let Jungkook off the hook and did not let you follow around everywhere you went.

'It is indeed a beautiful day, which you could use to your advantage' Jungkook replied seriously.

'I will let you know after breakfast'

'I will be at your disposal princess y/n' he said and before you went into the dining room you bowed to each other.

Your mother was already seated with a filled plate in front of her. You took place opposite of her.
