A date. Well, puppy date.

Why was Kagami here? He didn't even like dogs. How did Kuroko manage to talk him into this?

And Aomine was late. Of course he was. That bastard was going to rile him up on purpose, only to annoy and tease him. After all Aomine loved angering Kagami.

Suddenly little Tetsuya barked happily, running towards the entrance of the park where Aomine and Senshi were just passing the gate.

Finally. Kagami was just about to get up and greet them until he saw the surprise and then the smirk on Aomine's face.

"Where's Tetsu? What are you doing here?" The boy asked as he walked closer, plopping down on the bench and taking half of it.

Kagami grumbled, pushing back against the boy a bit before answering. "He said he wanted to train till later today so he told me to come to this play date. What's the plan anyway?"

"Number Two and Senshi play for a bit, we can play with them, too." Aomine shrugged. "Or we can play amongst ourselves. I've brought a basketball." The boy suggested, lifting an eyebrow as if daring Kagami.

"Ah no. I'm tired from training. You go play with the puppies if you want though. I'll watch from here in case they decide to bite you."

"Scared, Taiga?" Aomine asked. "Well then, sit and sulk here. Everyone knows of your fear from dogs, no matter if they're little, not scary at all puppies."

The red-haired boy's skin was nearly as red as his hair. Aomine and his smugness and insults.

In the end Kagami really sat and sulked on the bench, his arms crossed, looking at the ground.

Aomine shook his head. Seirin's ace was so easy to rile up and tease. No wonder he had so much fun. Deciding to leave the boy to cool off a bit, the blue-haired boy started playing a two-on-one with the puppies, eventually winning (although they were better than before at stealing the ball).

'The only one who can beat me is me' as Aomine said. Not even puppies could beat him in his favourite game.

Kagami didn't know how much time had passed before suddenly an ice cream cone appeared in his field of vision.

"Here kiddo, bought you an ice cream. Now stop sulking." Came Aomine's voice as he sad next to Kagami again, another ice cream in his other hand, already half eaten. The puppies laid near the bench, too tired from playing basketball.

"I'm not a kid. And I'm not sulking." Kagami said as he took his ice cream, starting to eat it.

"Yeah, it was obvious you weren't." Aomine laughed. "Your torture will be over soon. When we finish the ice creams I have to go. Momoi wanted to come to my place to study together."

"Alright. So I can finally go home, too." Kagami shrugged.

"Next time though we're playing a match. You and little Tetsuya here against me and Senshi. No running away, Kagami!" Aomine growled, a twinkle in his eye.

All that boy could think about was basketball, Kagami was sure. Even he wasn't that bad. Right?

In the end the two boys and the two puppies walked out of the park together before going their separate ways. When Kagami walked little Tetsuya home, he told him that he is never again going on play dates with puppies. It was not his thing.

Even if it was interesting to see this kind side of Aomine around the little animals.
