Everyone was in the gym, even the former players had come for a visit (they often did, Kasamatsu still yelling and giving orders like before, keeping everyone under control). Kise was late thanks to the puppy which often walked off their road to sniff at a tree or examine a bug. Still, this didn't bother the boy as he arrived amidst a typhoon of girls and fans (swooning over even the puppy which didn't like the attention very much), greeting with his usual 'yo' and a small wave.

"Oi, Kise, why are you late? Training is important, you yourself say it." Kasamatsu was first to notice him.

Everyone else from the Kaijo basketball team seemed to notice the puppy, trudging after the blonde boy though. And so they immediately gathered around it, talking in baby voices and trying to pet it.

The yellow-eyed animal didn't seem to like the boys' attention either. It tried to walk away but there was no way to move or run. Kise noticed the pup's uneasiness and quickly scooped it up in his arms.

"This is Hissori, my new puppy. He's not a big fan of humans so don't pressure him, he'll eventually make friends with everyone. I hope..." The boy said while walking away from his teammates and putting the puppy down near a ball. "You just watch us today, we won't bother you. Lunch will be served in a few hours." The blonde smiled at the puppy before getting up from his kneeling position and walking away to leave his bag in the locker room. All the boys followed him, asking about the puppy. So Kise explained everything, Takao's plan, the fact that Midorima too had a green-eyed puppy named Yoshi.

Meanwhile the puppy was looking around thoughtfully. The yellow human had said the word again. Was that his new name? It sounded good. But he would never admit it.

The pup, Hissori, looked to the orange ball next to him. He had seen such thing and before, in the other big room where he had met the annoying puppy yesterday. Was it a toy? The pup pushed the ball with a paw, making it roll away from him. Eh, he wasn't in the mood for games anyway.

The pup lied down just as the Kaijo basketball team filled in the gym again, getting ready to continue their training. The pup followed their every move.

(Yeah, maybe he wanted to play too. A bit. But he would never admit that either. No...)
