I felt small and lonely as I allowed the Pod to pull my Soul-Spirit back to my body.
Crio-sleep disengaged and I sagged to the floor. I had no manner in which to calculate time, but it felt as if I had been away for quite a while. After resting a bit, I opened the pod, walking down the ramp to chaos around me.
The chamber where the pod stood was in ruins. The pod itself was covered in black scorched marks.
A Huracan grumbled from somewhere outside the chamber.
*I'm back, Moira* I gently greeted my dragon, letting her know that I was unharmed and in her vicinity.
A huge green body whipped through the tiny space that used to be a doorway, the automatic doors having been ripped from their sliders, laying to the side as she had forced her way to get to me.
She stopped in front of me.
I held my hand for her to sniff at me.
**It is you, but you are changed** she informed me, gently pushing her huge head against my chest, lifting me inches off the floor before releasing me from our fond embrace.
*I'm sorry. I had to go places no-one on Leilaka can follow. I've been where I needed to go. We can go home now.*
Moira barely fitted in the passages. We walked until we reached the entrance where I had originally fallen through the roof of the cave.
She showed me by blending with me that she had suspected that I was going to the egg, entering through the hole in the roof to find my essence in the egg. In her frustration in seeking a way to open the egg, but finding none, she had trashed the place instead.
Eventually she had resigned herself to die with me if I should perish. She knew that if I should die, she would die too. Then she would not be lonely, for she would join me on whatever quest I had gone on.
*We are on a great quest already* I informed her. *We are to protect Leilaka from grave peril. I was just not informed as to what type of other peril except the Rogue Lord.*
**I'm sure you will see like you always do** she soothed my apprehension. **They always give you fair warning of things to come.**
*They did not warn me that I was to have absolutely no assistance against my Uncle. My army was decimated and no-one else cares.*
**I care. I feel what you feel. I know your sorrow and your self-blame. I know your irrational feelings of guilt for not being able to save your men and not managing to destroy your Uncle and his hordes.
I know.**
*I am seen as a mere child. No-one has respect for me. For all the growth I have made this body endure, I am no further than where I was a year ago.
And what about my visions? Only Elfes believe me when I tell them of things to come. Everyone else laughs at me, wanting proof.
Not even bringing the Elfen Nation back and forming a Huracan Legion seemed to have convinced the sceptics.*
**I do not understand the workings of human society. You will have to speak to someone more knowledgeable about the subject. The Huracan society is also re-establishing itself and I am not a part of the original lot. I'm an outsider there as much as you are amongst your own people.**
