*** Thirty-One ***

    There was movement around me.

It seemed to be everywhere, then concentrating, it condensed to an area only to my left.

It was a struggle to open my eyes, a very bright light preventing me from seeing anything around me. Perceiving the lack of sight as white instead of black, I wondered for a moment if one could go blind in such a manner.

It seemed silly, for a blind Priest had once told me that he was engulfed in perpetual darkness of a physical kind. He had the fortunate option to be able to see in energy as well. But it did not make up for the loss of his physical sight he had experienced.

The energy to my left moved and the bright light was diffused, allowing me to start seeing shadows. Nothing concrete yet, just grey on the white background.

"It is okay what you are experiencing right now" Emmaceria told me.

"It is an after-effect of the Huracan magic you had been wielding the last few days. You have worked far too hard. Your young body cannot yet cope with the demands you are placing on it.

Your sight will settle and normalize in a few minutes. Rest here, I will fetch the Emperor."

She left me and I closed my eyes on the gently spinning whirls of grey and white energy.

Maybe I had found the ones that can give me more information on the Huracan.

Suddenly alarmed, I enlarged my aura, trying to find Moira in the first method I had learnt in lives lived before.

**You are disrupting the Elfen magic. Contain yourself and just speak to me. I am always with you, even if it is not in physical form** she chided and I brought my aura back to this young body, making a note that this way of behaving disrupted the other energies on Leilaka.

*Are you well?* I wanted to know, hearing people coming my way.

**Yes. I am comfortable but contained in a stable. Ishmay said it would be better for me to stay near you. I am hungry and they do not have food. May I leave to hunt?**

*Yes. You have my permission. Just do not destroy anything.*

**It is not as if a stable can contain me, now can it. I will not break anything.**

I felt her leaving the area, hearing an uproar from people somewhere outside.

Emmaceria opened the door to the room I was finding myself in. My sight was stabilizing and I could discern form and colour again. It was still blurry, though.

"Your Huracan just left" Emmaceria informed me. "I hope you are in communication with her."

"I am. She needs to hunt. She is as depleted as I am. We are both very young in physical form."

She came over to where I was lying, stepping up to me, giving me a kiss on the lips, leaving me staring at her in total shock.

She smiled back at me. "I promised you a kiss when you have released us. My debt is paid to you. Thank you, Han."

Ishmay was standing behind her and I looked at him.

"I am so thankful that we have an instant city on hand to be able to tend to you" he informed me. "There was some major damage to the section that had burnt, but you acted quick enough to save the adjacent buildings. My people are indebted to you."
