I slept right through the late afternoon and night. Moira woke me softly with a Telepathic prompt, informing me that I had a friend that needed to speak to me and wished entry to my mind.
Wiping the sleep from my eyes, I gave my attention to what was transpiring in my head. Habieb was trying to reach me, finding me locked.
Only Moira would know how she was aware of him trying to reach me.
Opening up, I followed the link as if it was a thread that had been connected between Habieb and I, meeting him halfway in this distinctive but draining exercise.
He needed to know when we would be returning, whether we had found the other Huracan and if his mount was somewhere out there as well.
I informed him that we were collecting him and Samual in a few days and that he should prepare to leave so long. I told him that his Huracan would show itself as soon as he had reached Elms Wood and had joined the Riders in the magical forests around the City of Floverne.
Satisfied with this exciting news he broke the connection, exhaustion noticeable even over the distance.
At least I did not feel drained and tired, knowing that Moira had followed that conversation, as she had been following all my Telepathic conversations so far.
It felt strange to have another person or entity so securely linked to me that she could actually follow every thought, every impulse that went on within my mind.
**It runs both ways, Han** she softly informed me. **I have tried not to pry into your privacy, but it seems that we are linked on levels not intended for normal functioning.
You feel me all the time too. You are aware of everything I go through as well. You are just so busy on so many levels of existence that you are not even aware of this happening to you.
That is why you sometimes feel my anger, or frustration, or agitation. We are not easy creatures to live with and our emotions run deeply. We Huracan are emotional beings. We communicate with our feelings and, in being aware of my feelings, you might sometimes find it hard to separate your own feelings from mine.**
Okay, so some of these emotions were not mine to carry. I would have to sort this out before I reacted to situations. First make sure what was me and what was my Huracan.
More work!
Quickly going through my own morning routine, I finished up and dressed in clean clothes I found in the cupboard.
It was time to join the Riders at breakfast, followed by exercises or manoeuvres as Ragghwaart called our morning flights.
Ishmay was waiting for me in the passage and together we walked to the dining hall.
Here most of the Riders and a lot of other Elfes were already busy with their rations.
Ragghwaart informed us that they had saved the saddles that they could. The saddle-maker would make more as soon as he had the materials available to do so. They had more than enough saddles to kit out all of the current Riders and Huracan.
I wondered what Moira would say about wearing a saddle.
True to form, she had been following my every thought. **I will be fine with it. As long as it is comfortable for both of us, I would not mind** she told me and I smiled at her unannounced, but very welcome invasion.
