The next day was spent in preparation of our imminent return to Glyden. Ishmay, Ragghwaart, Samual, Habieb and I were returning to the valley of Glyden in order for me to continue my adventure.
Ishmay would ride double with either Ragghwaart or Samual, taking turns to give the grown Huracan equal share in the extra weight.
Habieb and Lance were to carry most of the gear as it was decided that Moira was actually too young to carry much more than my slight weight and she was excused from this effort. She only needed to carry my own equipment.
She did not complain about this decision, and as she was the best hunter, she would provide for the other Huracan while fish was unavailable.
The other Huracan were not overjoyed at the prospect of having to eat meat, but they knew that the hinterland did not have fish stocks readily available.
We departed the day after at dawn. It was a three to four day flight made slightly easier by the strong rising air-currents we experienced, enabling us to glide most of the way.
We had a brief stop-over at Habieb's village and slept in luxury after a very enjoyable evening meal spent in Elbien's presence.
With both Habieb and I able to translate, the conversation was much more acceptable and flowing than before, making it easier for both parties to understand each other.
Too soon we reached the Palace of Glyden, dropped Ishmay off at his home so he could greet Bernine, then made our way over to the Grounds in front of the Palace where we landed in the middle of the open area.
We were immediately surrounded by Elfes, juggling for positions to see the three huge male Huracan that seemed to dwarf poor Moira.
Ignoring the reception, we unsaddled, allowing the Huracan to fly off towards the Magic Forests where they could care for themselves.
Moira would soon teach them to hunt wild sheep, goats and proper forest deer in any case.
Brutus, Marshall and Drake came to greet us, helping us carry the equipment to their shared chamber where we had spent the evening when we had come to fetch Habieb and Samual.
After a long, relaxing bath, we had a communal dinner with the other Elfes in the dining hall.
There was a marked absence of leaders, and even some of the Elfen Captains did not attend the evening meal.
When questioning Brutus about this, he merely stated that they were busy with meetings and would call on us shortly.
After dinner, I snuck off to the stables to visit with my animal friends.
Windshine was happy to see me, asking me if he was finally going to be able to work again. He had missed me and Marshall did not want to ride him, saying that he was Han's horse and should be kept as such. I told him that he would soon have more than enough work available.
Strongclaw reluctantly came out of his nest after I had called to him several times. He stretched, then fluttered down to my extended arm, taking a seat, greeting loudly.
"Are you going to join us on this adventure?" I wanted to know from him.
"I have chicks that need food. They eat all the time. At least they are sleeping now, so stop the racket!"
