Alexis walked down the Ministry corridor wearing a visitor badge she took from Demetri's room. She arrived at a door labelled: Accidental Magic Reversal Headquarters.

Alexis fiddled with the piece of parchment in her pocket on which his home address and workplace were listed. She thought she would take the less intimidating route first and visit him at work.

She opened the door and walked through. The room was quite unassuming. A series of desks cluttered the room, papers littered every possible surface. There was only one window in which artificial light shone through.

"Can I help you?" a red-headed wizard asked from his desk, which was closest to the door.

"I'm looking for Theodore Nott," Alexis replied.

"He's in the back." The man gestured to the back of the room in which a small doorway could be seen.

Alexis walked through the desks. Some workers turned to look her way, others were so consumed in their work or conversations, they didn't notice her. She wondered how many visitors they got down here.

She walked through the opening and found a small room with a desk in the middle of it. There were books stacked on the ground, bookcases lining the wall, and papers everywhere. It was incredibly messy.

"Theodore Nott?" Alexis asked.

The man was hunched over his desk, bouncing from one leg to the other. He looked up in surprise upon hearing his name. He was handsome, his curly, chestnut hair short and shiny. He had a shadow of a beard and his jawline was sharp. He couldn't have been older than 40.

"Yes?" he answered.

Alexis looked toward the open door. "Can I shut this?"

Theodore glanced at the door then back to her. "Who are you?"

Alexis went ahead and shut the door anyway.

Theodore stood up straight, narrowing his eyes. "Look, if you're here for polyjuice potion or gl-"

Alexis held up a hand to stop him. "I'm not here for that." She began wondering what this man did in his free time and whether it was legal. "You have something I need."

"And what would that be?"

Alexis looked around the room. "Can we be heard by anyone?"

"No," he answered uneasily.

"Good." She took a few steps toward him. "Lucius Malfoy commissioned you to make something very... important for him."

"I don't know what you're talking about-"

"Yes you do," Alexis replied. "I'm not here to play games, Theodore." She leaned over the desk, her palms on the cool surface. "This is how it always goes, isn't it?. You're going to deny until I give you proof that I know about the time-turner." Alexis held up her hand again when he opened his mouth to speak, silencing him. "But I don't have proof. My proof is simply knowing that it exists. So we're going to skip this part. And we're going to skip whatever the fuck happens next. We're going to jump ahead to the part where you give me the time-turner."

Theodore was quiet for a moment. "I'm not saying such a thing exists, but even if it did, I don't deal with people who aren't the one's I commissioned for." He closed the file he was looking at when Alexis came in. "Bring me Lucius Malfoy and we'll talk."

"He's dead," Alexis said, keeping her voice neutral.

Theodore's eyes widened. "What? How?"

"It doesn't matter," Alexis brushed off his questions. "Where is the time-turner you've been working on?"

"How do you know Lucius?"

Alexis sighed. "He was-" She looked passed Theodore's shoulder. "He was a good friend before he passed."

Theodore eyed Alexis, unconvinced. "The time-turner isn't ready."

"When will it be ready?"

"It could take years," he replied nonchalantly. "Even so, I'm not going to hand it over to someone I don't know. It's serious business, messing with time."

"Is it here?"

"Of course not."

"Great, we're going to walk out of here together and you're going to bring me to it."

Theodore smirked, a smile that reminded her of Demetri. "That's quite funny. We will not be doing that."

Alexis withdrew her wand, pointing it at the man.

"Cute," he said with a smirk.

"I've killed many before you, do not think I will hesitate to end your pathetic existence right here."

"You know nothing about my existence," he spat out, the smile disappearing from his lips.

"I know your father was Death Eater and died in the war," Alexis said. "Your mother died when you were very young. I know how much your mother hated your father and instilled a lot of those beliefs in you. You must have felt so alone all those years. A father you never bonded with, a dead mother. And now, you are unmarried and have no kids. You lead a lonely existence."

Theodore's eyes widened. "How do you know all that?"

"That doesn't matter," Alexis said. "You just need to know that I'm not some random person that walked in here today to leave empty-handed. You are going to obey everything I say because now you know a slither of how dangerous I am. And you are going to do it with a positive attitude."

Theodore's expression fell from his face, leaving his expression neutral. "Very well. The item you're looking for is at my house."

"Terrific." Alexis smiled." Your wand, please."

Theodore hesitated before reaching into his pocket and handing over his wand.

Alexis pocketed both wands. "Lead the way."
