Early kitchen conversations

I woke up with not even 3 hours of sleep and eye bags like I rubbed dark blue eye shadow under my eyes. The reason I couldn't fall asleep was the person with messy hair, that y/n saw only a few hours before. I just wouldn't stop thinking about them. Why? No idea. It seemed off.

I sat up and blinked a few times, trying to remember where I was and what has happened.

"Good morning snoring man" A deep but calm morning voice said next to me. Y/n was sitting on the bed while widely grinning at me, their head propped up by their arms.

"Wha-"
"You snore" they said.
"No i don't. I never did. Nik was the only one snoring" I tried to defend myself but it helped nothing since i often wake up with a dry throat which meant that I do snore.

"You both did. Maybe Nik a bit louder but I slept right next to you and i definitely heard it."

I looked around me just to see that everyone was still asleep.

"Did i wake you up?"
"No"
"Don't lie to me"
"I'm not lying, i promise" they assured me but i knew that my snoring woke them up. »Gooood why? Why am I literally the only ghoul who's snoring?«

"Imma go downstairs to drink a cup of water" I said to avoid arguing with them while slowly getting off of the bed while trying to not step on Laura and Nik. Y/n said nothing but just followed me downstairs.

"How do you feel at the moment" they asked and i knew immediately what y/n was talking about but still asked: "what do you mean?"
"Oh you know exactly what i mean, Per Eriksson"

They crossed their arms in front of their chest while I was sipping on my water.

"You know my last name?"
"Of course i do, dickhead. The teacher called you out more than one time and i don't easily forget last names. Your name doesnt sound english though"

My eyes widened a bit after they finished their sentence. »is my english accent that good?«

"Im from Sweden- i thought you'd know that"
"You're what now?!"

Now y/n was the one looking at me with wide eyes.

"Swedish- well not really, obviously, but i grew up there and that was the only and first language i spoke for a while. Until i had to start learning english since- yeah" I answered hesitantly.
"Why, is there something wrong with it?"
"What? No of course not, its just that i would've never guessed that your from Sweden. But that's really cool!"
"I've told you that already though. Right on the first day in school when you, Nik and Eli showed us around. I remember that you literally acted the same way like now when you found out a week ago"
"for real? Welp sorry then, i forgot about it. But you two have literally perfect american accents like, how??"
"Practice i guess. Long practice"

I took a sip of my water again before placing it down on the kitchen counter.

Y/ns pov.

I watched him place his glass on the kitchen counter with a face that he made whenever we had to solve maths problems. Pers usual thinking face which then slowly turned into a slight smirk.

"May i ask why you are smirking?"
"Nothing, nothing"

He leaned back against the counter and stared at me. From one eye to the other and then also at my lips, even though it was only for a split second but long enough for me to notice.

"My eyes are up here pretty boy" I said and noticed how his cheeks turned a bit darker. I couldn't help but grin a little bit. »did i just make him flustered?«

"you're blushing" I teased.
"No, it's just the heat. This redness in my cheeks has absolutely nothing to do with you, don't keep you hopes up on that"
"Of course"

He was definitely blushing because of me. Otherwise he wouldn't act like this. But just the fact that I made him blush made me want to try a few things. But before i could say anything he suddenly stepped towards me and pinned my body with his to the wall and did not break eye contact.

Fuck he's hot.

Now it was my turn to blush. I've always hated the fact that i blush so quickly, no matter if it was because of embarrassments or compliments.

"Who's turning red now, huh?" he teased and stared right into my eyes, a grin resting on his lips.

"Definitely not me. No idea why you would just assume such thing" i said with sarcasm in my voice, knowing god damn well that i was red like a tomato. My body was filled with explosions and my breath was shaky. What the fuck just happened.

The explosions only got more when he leaned down, his head now right next to my ear. I felt his warm breath on my skin but avoided looking him in the eyes. Per definitely knew what he was doing to me. With his head leaned against the side of my cheek he whispered:

"Just to clarify something: the thing that happened yesterday in the bathroom stays a secret between the two of us. No telling Eli, Nik, Cos and especially not Laura or any of the other people that you will meet as soon as you come over to my house. Did you understand that?" His tone was serious and it was kind of scary, considering I've never seen him like that.

After Per got no response from me he repeated a little bit louder: "did you understand me?!"

"Yes" i breathed. My heart was pounding out of my chest and i wondered how he didn't notice it.

"My satan, y/n you get flustered pretty quickly" Per said nonchalantly after he took a step back.

"Shut up"
"It's the truth though. I mean, look at you" he laughed.

"It's only because of the heat" I repeated his excuse from a few moments ago and grinned.

"Yes of course. It's also that warm at 9 o clock in the morning that you turn red from the heat." Per said sarcastically, forgetting what he said earlier.

"Dude- you literally said the same thing two minutes ago. You just dug a hole for someone else in which you fell into yourself." I scoffed, my arm crossed in front of my chest.

"No i didn't"
"Yes you did. 'No, it's just the heat. This redness in my cheeks has absolutely nothing to do with you, don't keep you hopes up on that'" i imitated him, "your words"

"I didn't say that"
"Yes you did"
"No i didn't"
"Yes you-"
"Guys?" A third voice came from the kitchen door.

A tired Eli stood in the doorframe, watching the conversation.

"It's weekend. Why are you two up this early?"

"Per snored and i woke up because of that"
"YOU SAID I DID NOT WAKE YOU UP" he exclaimed and i had to force myself to not burst out in laughter.

"Im just gonna wait for the announcement that you two are together" she said randomly and quickly turned around to go back to her room, before Per nor me could say anything.

"Elliot! We've known each other for a fucking week!"
"Love at first sight exists!" was the last thing she said before the sounds of her walking up the stairs could be heard.

"No it doesn't" Per said and stared at the spot where my best friend just disappeared from. "But not gonna lie, i kinda like the thought of it"
"The thought of what!?" I asked in a serious tone and turned around to face him.

"Nothing, nothing"
"You really love secrets, don't you"
"Maybe" he winked at me.
