first Training

"I still have a question" Nik said and turned to Sodo as we all sat in Rains room. "Why exactly is Echo after you?"

"Because she knows I'm powerful and could get in her way. So she needs to get rid of me tu fulfil her plan- whatever it might be, we don't know." he answered.

"Powerful?" Eli looked confused, "do you guys have powers or something?"

"Yes. It depends on what element you belong to. I'm a fire ghoul wich means my powers have to do something with fire plus fire ghouls are the rarest and most powerful" Sodo explained and winked playfully as he said his last words.

"You're very proud, aren't ya?" I said jokingly.

"Always" Sodo spoke with a smirk but got serious again, "there are also water ghouls, earth ghouls and air ghouls. Each of us have very sensitive senses and one is especially sensitive. Fire ghouls can smell better, water ghouls have very vulnerable eyes, earth ghouls can feel more and air ghouls have an intense taste."

"damn, I want that too" Eli mumbled after Sodo finished.

"oh it can be scary sometimes. Be happy that you don't. Plus even if you have powers you most likely won't use them, only in serious situations" the fire ghoul took a deep breath in as he looked at the clock above rains door. "Y/n and me will have to leave you for maybe like an hour or two"

I looked up at him with confusion and I think I wasn't the only one. Still I followed him without questioning things and sent my friends a smile before closing the door.

"its 3:55 pm and Copia told me to bring you to his office at 5 pm. I guess its because what happened inn the morning. You immediately need training because we can't guarantee what will happen if you don't" he said and gave me a peck on the cheek, "and there's no need to be scared, okay?"

"im not scared Sodo. I just don't know how I could ever do.. that thing again. I thought it was a dream.." I said and looked at him.

"Just give it a try" he spoke and started walking. I followed the ghoul in silence, my thoughts still flying cross and queer through my head.

"Focus and tell me what you felt when it happened" Copia whispered from behind me. I sat on a chair in a big empty hall and stared at the glowing pocket watch dangling about 20 feet in front of me above the ground. The dials shone in four different colors, blue, red, brown and white. Each quarter, one color. Four quarters, four elements. Besides the glowing numbers and the fact that it was flowing in the air the watch looked normal. The case was silver, just like the hour hand.

"focus and tell us what's going on in your mind. What do you remember, darling?" Sodo asked and I felt his intense stare in my neck.

I closed my eyes and listened to the quiet ticking of the clock. The presence of the two people behind me slowly faded as I pressed my lids together, trying to recall what happened. I tried to remember every single detail, what I felt and what I heard.

"There was this voice in my head. The same voice that I heard the night before and on the ball. Her voice. She sounds so magical yet scary.. so persuasive but I didn't listen." I started.

"What did she say" Copia asked gently. They both knew who I was talking about. Echo.

"That I shouldn't trust him and come to her instead. That I should let go of him. Leave him behind" I said and let out a shaky breath, "He's no good for me. He's trying to trick me" 

"Who's he?" The carinal asked from next to me but I shook my head, mentioning him to be quiet.  I knew who he was, yes, but I did not want to tell Copia in his presence. Not in front of Sodo.
