Desperate Of Love

"He's so.. fineee" Cirrus whined and buried her face in a pillow on the sofa.

"I could say the same thing about Ray" Eli shrugged and patted the head of her friend. I sat on the floor, looking up at the two. We were currently in the common room, talking about our life problems aka that thing called love.

Though I felt super guilty about it I couldn't fully follow the conversation. My thoughts were just too buried in a million pictures of Sodo to free themself. The purring still tingled my eardrums although it's been hours since we had to force ourselves out of his comfortable cushions.

The shadows of our figures slowly melted together as the tiny bit of light coming through the roller blinds disappeared behind the surface of roofs and trees. As always it's been quite an exhausting day with training and rehearsal right after but still I was more than happy. Happy about the relationships I have built with so many new people. Rain, Sunny, Zephyr, and so many others. Still, Cirrus didn't seem as happy as she was two hours ago.

"Personally.. I prefer girls over guys so I can't really say if I would smash or pass him if I were straight. Sorry" Mist apologised and shrugged. I wanted to laugh but gulped it back down, for Cirrus was clearly desperate. Her face reflected a hint of fear but mostly sadness as she looked back up at us.

"Look, I can talk to him, if you want me to." I say softly and the corners of my mouth curl into a faint and warm smile. I wanted to help her build something more than a strong friendship with Nik, though I didn't know how exactly. He's never been in a relationship and also never really sought for one, as far as I knew. But I didn't tell her. I didn't want to make Cirrus even more upset.

"But I don't want to hear the words 'I'm not interested in her, she's just a friend' " she whined, her voice revealing a trace of misery.

"I won't make it obvious that you like him, I promise. But it's just an offer, you don't have to say yes to anything" I say softly and shift to a crossed-leg position. A knot formed in my gut as Cirrus let out a small groan and pinched the spot between her eyebrows. She looked sleepy like she hadn't been able to rest for a while.

"I- okay, yeah sure" she sighed after ten seconds of silence. "Thank you"

"That's what friends are for, aren't they?" I joked and earned a faint chuckle from Cirrus. My heart jumped happily at the sound and the knot loosened a bit.

I looked over at Eli who stared off into nothing. She probably had the same problem like me seconds ago. But instead of Sodo it's Ray intoxicating her. Love really felt like a drug and nobody could get enough of it. And this time love was a person.

"Seriously though, you and Nik would actually fit together." Mist said and fidgeted with a ring on her finger. "But anyways, happy thoughts now. Wanna play a game of monopoly?"

"Do you want me to become your enemy?" I asked with raised brows. Monopoly was never a game to make friends but just the opposite and I would never understand the people who like it. Ever. Luigi was always the one who managed the bank always won. I wondered why. Just the fact that he did everything to become the banker is enough.

"What about chess then?" Mist continued to ask and looked at each one of us in the room. Her eyes wandered from Cirrus all the way across the room until they landed on Sunny who had a hint of helplessness in her eyes.

"That's a game for two" Eli replied and pulled Cirrus close to her body. The ghoulette definitely needed the comfort, I could see it even though I was distracted by thoughts of Sodo pulling on my attention.

"Well then, you guys make suggestions" Mist said a little more annoyed and leaned back onto the rug. Candles now covered her full body in a soft yellow light, making her curves stand out. A few shadows danced with knits of the Nirvana oversized tee she was wearing and her chest seemed to vibrate with the flickering of flames.
