Sodos Pov.

I looked at my reflection in the mirror. The red suit fit perfectly. A few cold, silver rings adorned my left and right hand, one with a pentagram and a red ruby on the middle. It reflected a few rainbow dots on my wall as sunbeams encased the beautiful stone. I put black smudgy eyeliner on my waterline - well, Sunshine did - which made my grey-blueish eyes stand out even more.

My chest slowly rose and fell back down every few seconds while my heart was beating against my ribs. This felt weird. I was about to go on a ball for the first time of my life. I didn't have a date but Cirrus promised that shed dance with me if y/n didn't . She got a poke in the ribs for that since she knows i absolutely hate dancing, except when im alone in my room blasting music through my headphones and no one's watching.

"Sodo, come on, we're being late!" Cirrus shouted from outside the door, knocking aggressively.

"IM COMING!" I yelled back before giving myself one last glance and following the ghoulette outside towards the car in which the Cardinal was already sitting, ready to drive us to school.

The sun was slowly setting and bathed the world in a warm orange. It looked beautiful. Very beautiful. A few leaves were laying on old, broken gravestones with some insects hiding underneath it from the bright light. My hand was quite shaky as I opened the door and sat down.

"Ready for your best few hours of your life?" Copia asked from the drivers seat. He sounded way more excited that me even though he wasn't even going.

"Fuck yes" Cirrus answered happily whilst I just sat there looking out of the window and watching the trees as we drove. Meet me at the main entrance~

Y/ns pov

I still stared at myself in the mirror the same way I have been for the last five minutes, unsure about the way I look. My (color) hair was in a half up - half down style, just like the last days but this time I put a bit more effort in trying to make my hair look good.

"You look very hot y/n, there's no doubt" Eli said, sitting on my bed.

"I don't know though. Should I take off my eyeliner or leave it?" I asked, my breath shaky. I did a black, smudgy eyeliner on the lower waterline for the first time in a while and had no idea how to feel about it. On the one hand, yes i did look hot and complimented my eyes but on the other hand it felt weird.

"Leave it. I know that it feels weird but you're just not used to it but believe me, you look so damn hot" she assured me and suddenly shouted out a few seconds later: "fuck, y/n, hurry up, we're gonna be late!"

Eli rushed out of the room, dragging me with her and held her dark green silk dress up a bit with the other hand so that she won't step on it. She looked flawless, stunning, perfect, wonderful.

"If I don't get together with him, can I marry you?" I asked under a breath as we stumbled down the stairs.

"So im just your second choice?" she exclaimed sarcastically.

"You can't compare that! And that wasn't an answer for my question." I laughed nervously.

"yes I you can marry me but I don't think that will happen since its literally obvious that he wants something from you. Kiss him tonight and I owe you two RedBulls" Eli winked at me and I immediately felt heat rise in my cheeks, as I hopped in the Truck of Niks family. His mother was driving us and to my surprise another guest waited on the left back seat.

"Mom, I also want a dress like this!" Lexi, the 5 year old sister of Nik exclaimed and pointed at Elis dress.

"One day Lex, you will also wear something like this but you still need to be patient" Mrs. Harlow said to her daughter before turning to us.
