WOULD YOU, please, stop bickering, and let me finish my coffee in peace?❞

Sophie threw a pillow at Landon, aiming for the head. Of course, it was a clean shot and the pillow landed on the coffee table. Their cups fell, and the beverage spilled all over the carpet. I was unfazed, as it was a regular occurrence. Both of them got to their feet and began to clean their mess, whilst throwing small insults to each other.

❝Landon started it.❞ Sophie grunted and moved over to sit next to me at the kitchen table.

I haven't been paying attention to either of them. Their bickering began two days ago, via the group chat. I thought they'd gotten into an argument, which wasn't unusual, however, as the text and in person fights became more fierce and aggressive, so did they.

I caved. With a long sigh, I placed the cup on the table and glanced at both of them, ❝Alright, I'll bite. What's happening between the two of you?❞

Landon wanted to speak, however, once the fury on Sophie's face got visibly presented, he shut his mouth and allowed her to do all the talking.

❝On Saturday, one of the girls that was with us got really drunk and had no ride home. We drove her home when we took off, which is fine. But tomorrow morning, she texted him saying how grateful she was and wanted to make it up to him with a lunch date.❞

Ooh, boy. I tried not to show any emotions as I listened, but a laugh still managed to slip through. The jealousy was definitely the issue when it came to Sophie, and she was not shy about showing it, either.

❝And why the hell is that a problem? Because after a few texts, I noticed that she was flirty and I told her I wasn't interested in dating her.❞ Landon retorted, and with each word he spoke, his voice raised.

Sophie was no longer looking at me, but shooting daggers at Landon, ❝It's a fucking problem, Landon. You didn't say you weren't interested in dating her, you said you weren't interested in dating. There is a fucking difference.❞

It turned into a screaming match quickly and I felt an incoming migrene from the two idiots, but I was still simply listening, and honestly, all I needed was some popcorn.

Sophie didn't allow Landon to speak, ❝And what the hell am I here for? You and I started this... whatever this situation is before Hudson and Erin, and look at them! They're literally about to get married with children, for fucks sake. Am I just a side piece to you or what?❞

I mumbled, ❝You can't be a side piece if he isn't in an exclusive relationship.❞

This time, it was Landon who threw the pillow and it hit me straight in the face. Little fucker.
