*Aria's P.O.V*

I slept a little bit later than I intended to so I ended up scrambling to get ready. I threw my hair up in a bun before I put on a shower cap since I didn't have enough time to wash it and then dry it. I quickly showered, praying that Athena would forget that I had told her that I loved her. Maybe I should fake my death and move cross country.

Once I was out of the shower, I quickly dried off and got dressed. I chose a simple pair of leggings and a green sweatshirt with cats printed all over it. It was a bit baggy on me but that was on purpose so that I could curl up and cover up my legs with my sweatshirt. I let my hair down from its bun and fluffed it slightly.

"Lexi, I need you to dye my hair soon. My roots are coming back in," I said as I walked to the living room, shivering at how cold the floor was. I hopped from spot to spot until I reached the living room.

"Why? It actually looks pretty good," Lexi said with a small smile. "I think I'm going to put some pink stripes in my hair but I'm afraid to bleach it at home like you do. The last thing I want to do is damage my hair," she muttered as she ran her fingers through her curls.

"Probably for the best, it would take forever for your hair to get healthy again if it got a bad bleach job," I said as I sat down on the couch next to her. "I'm still so sleepy even though I took a nap and my head doesn't hurt anymore," I muttered.

"Go make some coffee then," Lexi said as I rested my head on her upper arm. I groaned as I shook my head, tilting my head to look up at her.

"No, because coffee is nasty without sugar and sugar makes me even more tired," I said as I leaned back. Lexi left just before Athena was supposed to get there. I ended up pacing back and forth as I waited for three o'clock to come. It was five minutes until then when there was a knock on my door.

I tried not to seem anxious as I moved forward, checking through the peephole before I opened the door. I greeted her happily as she smiled at me. I let her inside, letting her take her shoes off and put them by the door.

"I hope you are feeling better," Athena said. She held out a bottle of sprite and I happily accepted it as I led her to the couch.

"I'm feeling a lot better now, still tired but I don't feel like my brain got hit with a brick," I shrugged my shoulders. "Would you like anything to eat? Drink?" I asked, silently thanking my grandmother for teaching me how to handle guests instead of freezing up from nervousness.

"No thank you dear," Athena smiled softly and sat down on the couch. I sat down close to her, turning my head to look at her.

"How has your day been?" I asked.

"It was good, a little boring but for the most part I managed to get through the boredom by helping Adonis with his newest creations," Athena said with a small smile. "He eventually kicked me out because he felt like I was distracting him," she stated.

"I do that when I'm working on a design and Lexi is too close to me," I said as I ran my fingers through the ends of my hair. "She says that I think people are too close when they're even in the same room as me," I muttered.

I was quite thankful that she hadn't brought up the fact that I had said that I loved her. It was a habit since I only ever talked to Lexi on calls. I could feel that my cheeks were slightly red from how embarrassed I was at what had happened earlier.

"Would you mind if I saw some of your designs?" Athena asked. I froze at the question, mulling over my thoughts. I had never let anyone except my family see my drawings before. Nowadays I only ever got to show them off to Lexi since I didn't speak to my parents.

"Mhmm, I'll go get them," I said after a moment as I stood up. I walked to my room, my breathing hitching with how nervous that I was. I grabbed my sketchbook from my dresser, walking back to the living room with it pressed to my chest. I sat down, hesitating for a moment before I handed it to her.

"I don't have to look at them if you would like for me not to," Athena offered.

"No, it's fine. I'm just nervous," I said as I smiled softly. "Hopefully you like them," I murmured.

I watched as she opened up the sketchbook, showing off some of the drawings in there. I mostly drew dresses or some type of suit. I also listed the perfect fabrics for those designs although I knew that I probably lacked some of the knowledge that most fashion designers had since I was going to college for a science degree.

"These are quite good," Athena mused with a small smile on her lips, carefully flipping through the pages. I watched her carefully, afraid that she might accidentally rip the pages. "I have a friend in the fashion industry that I think I should introduce you to, you've probably heard of her. Emma Garcia?" she asked.

"Yeah, I'm a big fan of her work," I nodded my head with a small smile.

"I have to see her in a few days for a business conference, would you like to meet her then?" she asked. I paused at her question, my mouth drying out at the thought of meeting Emma Garcia. I loved her work, she was a big inspiration to me but I never imagined that I would actually get to speak with her.

"Really?" I asked quietly, looking at her wide eyes.

"Really," she nodded her head, the corners of her lips twitching up into a smile.

"I would love that," I said as I smiled, feeling a sense of giddiness wash over me. I was going to get to meet an actual fashion designer, my dreams were coming true.
