A/N: This chapter is not canon to the storyline, but who knows? Maybe there are some things in here that explain something from the main timeline 🤷‍♀️.

I have been stuck in 1983 for 9 months, and the winter season had already begun this December. Well, I wouldn't say stuck, per se. It's more like having a very long time period of second thoughts about whether to go back to my time or just stay here. Because here, no one completely knows who I am and my identity has been a secret; a serial killer from the future. The voices have been rather quiet as months passed. However, the headaches have been getting worse to the extent that ibuprofen doesn't help anymore.

Ever since I arrived, I've been living in the Afton Household with William and his son, Michael. William has given up on killing me months ago after realizing that I have my guard way too often. However, he's giving a clear signal that he's desperate to "win me over". I have yet to ask him why.

Right now, we were adding Christmas decorations to his house since all of the employees decided to hold the party here. The food was already prepared by William hours ago. I was putting up the decorations for the tree with William while Michael went out to get buy presents for us. Presents huh... I don't deserve such a thing.

"Darling, are you having a headache again?" William broke the silence with his voice and touch, his hand cupping my face and a red flush crept on. The nickname goddamnit. You've heard this a thousand times. Don't blush over it.

I bowed my head and whispered, "N-No, I'm fine. Just reminiscing". He's quick to notice these kinds of stuff; even without me mentioning it, he'll know immediately whenever I feel dizzy or nauseous. I placed my hand atop his and put his own down until I realized something.

"Oh shit, I haven't got you anything yet." I stared at William blankly, slowly descending into panic. It'd be rude if I don't get him anything, I'm literally living in his house. Wait, I don't know what are the things he likes, maybe except for the color purple and liking rabbits—Wait, that's it!

"You don't need to get me anything, love. You being here is already enough" he replied in a sweet tone, enough to make me slightly swoon. I shook my head and rubbed my hands together, feeling the cold.

"That's sweet, coming from you" I grinned at the man. "But I already know what to get you, so after this, I'm going to the mall to buy it." Luckily, it's the same mall I go to in my timeline and I've been there a couple of times too.

After I wrapped the final starry-blue garland around the Christmas tree, I grabbed my jacket from the chair and put on my shoes. For some reason, I couldn't find my hair tie, so I frantically searched around it, only to find it on William's wrist.

I walked back to the man and took his wrist "Why do you always have this? It's not like you need it". He resisted and snatched it away with a smirk, and I deadpanned in return. He grabbed my shoulders and spun me around. He's... tying my hair, that's new. He's never done that before, except tangle it with his fingers because he keeps playing with it, now that it reaches a few inches below my elbows.

William twirled several strands to my face "It's too cold outside so I'm confused about why you need to tie it in the first place" he spoke, then added, "Regardless, you're beautiful in any hairstyle."

I jokingly rolled my eyes and reached for the doorknob to go out, only to be held back by William's arms wrapped around my waist. "My goodness, what else do you want? The mall's gonna be crowded if I don't go there early"

He laid his chin on my shoulder and whispered in my ear whilst tightening his embrace "Do you really have to go?". His warm breath tickled me, to be honest and I'm only trying my best to look unfazed by it. Jeez, I can't keep this act up.
