+++++ (Y/N)'s POV +++++

There were times when I'd get extremely dizzy, or straight away pass out, which led us to go to a pharmacy located roughly around Moon Motel. I could barely step out of the apartment during the mornings because of this, and the evenings aren't too safe for me either. In short, the side effects are unpredictable. There's almost no way of knowing when they'd hit.

Jeremy and I just got out of the pharmacy after buying some painkillers while I clung to his arm like a goddamn koala. This was his idea, in case I go limp again just like yesterday. I only have a few things left to do, but they're easier said than done because by the time I'll be accomplishing it, it's gonna need every bit of strength I have. Let's hope adrenaline is enough.

"You feelin' okay?" Jeremy tapped my shoulder and put his hand on the surface of my neck. "Not too hot? Not too cold?"

"I'm fine, thanks," I smiled. "Is your breathing okay though?"

"Psh, yeah," he brushed it off with a small laugh. "You were seriously gonna confront Mr. Afton last night huh? Even in your disguise."

"I was ready to slap the shit out of him," I huffed, tugging the clips of my black hair extensions on the back of my head. "He can't just strangle someone because of a secret, and it doesn't make sense because talking while literally getting choked is hard. Your mind will go blank right away."

"Speaking from the bathroom experience?"

"Mhm."

Pity formed on his face as he put an arm around my shoulder and patted it as his way of consolement. I appreciate everything little thing he does for me, going out of his way just to help me with something and ending up worrying about it in the end. Jeremy wasn't on board with the plan right away, but he understood my reasons and started helping me with it.

We passed by the busiest part of the evening city where a large nightclub and a bar were built, full of people and maybe teenagers too. The smell of alcohol and sweat from inside traveled outside of the building. There was a long line outside, guarded by a very buff bouncer, and my goodness, the big difference between their clothing choices and my timeline's dresses is surprising.

We listened to the faint music from inside and the man excitedly exclaimed, "Oh my god, they're playing "Blue Monday" in there! I haven't heard this in forever!" He swayed his head from side to side, enjoying the catchy drums.

"We could go in there if you want to," I pointed.

"What?! No no no, we gotta get home before the side effects go loco on you," he refuted. "Other than that, look at the line! It'll be dawn when we get in there."

Just as though the bouncer heard us, he signaled for us to get closer. I think goosebumps rose from our skin while we approached the tall fellow. He was a foot taller than me, and the black sunglasses and frowning lips were absolutely not helping with his welcomeness.

"You two want in?" he quizzed in a very deep voice.

"If that is possible for us, then yes," I crossed my arms, answering in my Mid-Atlantic accent which evidently baffled the bouncer. He pulled his sunglasses down at the edge of his nose, examining us up and down. "Hm," that's all he said and unhooked a part of a stanchion pole. "Good fashion sense, miss."

I looked down at my own clothes; a black mesh blouse with puffed sleeves, a white coat draped over my shoulders, and high-waist dark blue pants, paired with a white rendition of my combat boots. Of course, I didn't forget to wear my leather gloves. Jeremy looked pretty good himself; a light-gray V-line t-shirt under a black blazer, light blue denim pants, and a pair of white Converse shoes. I guess what we wore today is nightclub-worthy.
