🎶Wake me up before you go-go
Don't leave me hanging on like a yo-yo
Wake me up before you go-go
I don't wanna miss it when you hit that high

🎶Wake me up before you go-go
'Cause I'm not planning on going solo
Wake me up before you go-go, ah
Take me dancing tonight
I wanna hit that high, yeah, yeah

I have no idea what time it is but judging from the radio, it's probably morning now. I propped myself up with my eyes shut and felt some sort of blanket slide off my shoulders. I don't remember having one so I assumed Neil covered me with it. Once my eyelids rose, the morning sun dazzled me.

"Thank heavens you're finally awake" I heard Neil's voice coming from the kitchen. He wore a simple gray sweatshirt that had two black stripes running vertically and a pair of denim pants. His medium-length hair was tied like a ponytail on the top that included his bangs. "I thought you went into a coma or something, you must've had one long-ass dream."

"A coma? I just went for a nap." I ruffled my hair.

"Yeah right, a 26-hour nap."

".... WHAT?!" I exclaimed. In a panic, I reached for my phone to check the date. "Da fuck?! It's already Sunday?!"

"Damn right. I tried to wake you up yesterday but you looked like you can't even hear me. Then I tried again in the evening but nothin'," The man gave me a shrug. "You kept calling for your mom while shaking like a leaf, so I got you a blanket. I thought you were getting cold."

I glanced at the blue-striped blanket on my lap and pulled it close, now feeling cold. "Well thank you, I appreciate it." I smiled at the individual, giving me a pleased grin in return. He then passed me a hot cup of coffee which had the same scent from the employees room in the pizzeria. I drank from it and noticed the exact flavor. "Hey... isn't this-"

"The one in the break room? Yep, that's the one." Neil said proudly, drinking from his own cup. "My fridge's empty right now so we going out to eat for this morning."

I stretched my arms and tilted my head to crack my neck, then bent my wrists, "I could use a stroll to stretch these joints, but is your knee doing better though?"

"It's doing well, a little swollen but nothing I can't handle," he flicked the injured knee, and not a single reaction of pain went on his face. "Anyway, don't worry 'bout it. Feel free to go over my clothes again, there should be something that fits you." I nodded in agreement and relaxed my shoulders as I drank my morning caffeine, relieved of the burden from my past. I like to imagine I spent 26 hours in my mother's lap in my dreams, considering how comfortable that sleep was.

Right after I finished my coffee, I washed it on the sink and entered Neil's room to take a bath. The gash on my arm hasn't closed all the way yet, so I still have to cover it later. I picked a red t-shirt with the print of a blue-green vintage Volkswagen bus in the center and my denim pants for my clothes today.

After showering for 30 minutes, I got dressed and took a few strands from the front of my hair and tied it on the back to make it look like a ribbon, then loosely braided the bottom of the ties. The butterfly knife William gave me was well hidden in my pocket but I played around with it for a bit before stepping out of the bedroom.

Neil removed the black hair tie that kept his hair together and tousled it, immediately it was neat, impressive honestly. We grabbed our bags and exited the apartment unit, the light showers from the sky weakly blew over our faces, even with our umbrellas open. At least they're not as violent as yesterday.

He took us to a cafe a few blocks away from the apartment complex. The layout somehow reminded me of the cafe shop I used to work at, only with a bunch of popping colors. We went over to the counter and looked at their breakfast menu. I decided to get pancakes with strawberries and cream while Neil chose pasta with garlic bread on the side. In terms of drinks, well, we got coffee again but mocha-flavored this time.
