Heya! I just wanna say thank you so much for reading my book! The story takes about 15 hours to read completely, so here's another thanks for spending time with it!

I didn't expect this to reach 13,000+ reads honestly, let alone reach 1,000+,  considering how many William Afton x Reader stories there are on this platform but here we are! And I couldn't be happier.  []~(￣▽￣)~*

★彡[ʜᴏᴡ ᴛʜᴇ ʙᴏᴏᴋ ᴄᴀᴍᴇ ᴛᴏ ʙᴇ]彡★

I started reading fan fics in 2020, then returned to reading them after Security Breach was released. Unlike the others who were so addicted to FNAF back in 2014, I didn't care much about the lore and just played the games in whatever order HAHAHA (with FNAF 3 being the most interesting).

Then years later, Security Breach happened and my interest in the franchise literally peaked. I wanted to catch up with the games, so I watched the King of Five Nights at Freddy's gameplay (we all know who it is heh ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) ) and the lore got me hooked. That led me to the fanfics out of curiosity, and it was fun seeing the interpretations of others!

In some books I previously read, I tend to notice (Y/N) being overly timid, naive, and easily manipulated, then there's William being a full-on psychopath who was more than willing to kidnap and/or seriously hurt the love interest. 

So I thought, "What if they're both kinda ruthless? What if there's this mutual understanding since both of them do the same thing but for different reasons?"

I wanted to see someone who was about the same level as William and could match up to him in terms of prowess and intelligence.

And so, our protagonist was born!

★彡[ᴛʜᴇ ᴘʀᴏᴛᴀɢᴏɴɪꜱᴛ]彡★

A character who is almost parallel to William himself; a serial killer but retains some kindness and a tiny bit of sympathy, and that's something I don't see very often too. She can be merciless and compassionate at the same time. When push comes to shove, she can take insane measures when the situation needs it to make the perpetrator hesitate (pressing a knife against her throat while William holds it, then smiling at him). In this case, she's more experienced in killing than her love interest, unfortunately.

I know (Y/N)s appearance is supposed to be up to the reader's choice, but I really wanted to make her image constant so I can draw her with William, like those cutscenes in visual novels!

When I saw the comments about her first appearance, I was literally cackling because I DID NOT expect that kind of reaction from you guys XDDD. I don't blame you for wishing for a (Y/N) x Reader too cuz I made her kinda 😳🔥—

Anyway, the girl's like a robot in the beginning as if she's just designed to kill for survival, almost inhumane. We then find out she does know how to express love, but lost the ability to do so when her mom died, along with the will to live. She's fine with children though since they are innocent, calling them "little ones". It's that one side of her that retains a bit of love, thanks to her mom.

Aside from maintaining her slightly caring personality, she was also prone to thinking of being better off dead (as seen in Chapter 19) because all she brings to everyone around her are disasters. The ghosts of her victims reminded her of that for 4 years, and there were occasions she confuses their voices with her own conscience like knowing something she shouldn't. Because of them, she forgot most of her memories.
