My life was boring. Nothing exciting ever happened to me. Other people got to meet celebrities daily or just lived a life of excitement in general. But me, I'd just wake up, live my life, and then go to bed. Rinse and repeat. Today was no exception. I had just gotten back from getting groceries and had put everything away. As I finished I heard the mail truck arrive and saw it stop in front of my mailbox. I take my phone out of my back pocket and hit the next song to play. It's the Avengers Theme. I walk outside my house as it plays. As I walk towards the mailbox, I trip.

I've always been clumsy so this wasn't a surprise. What does come as a surprise is that I continue to fall. Usually I'm good at catching myself but I continue to fall. Only I don't fall onto the cement of my driveway. I look around to see that I have fallen onto the balcony of a very high building.

"What the fuck?" I ask myself. I take an earbud out of my ear and look behind me to see a glowing portal that shows my driveway on the other side. I stand up and take a step towards the portal but it starts to close at an extremely fast rate.

"Wait! Stop!" I reach the portal just as it closes and vanishes into thin air. "No!" I cry out. I drop to my knees and let out a sob. I take a deep breath and look around.

"Where am I?"

"I think the better question is who are you? " I hear a voice behind me.

I gasp and turn around to see the Ironman suit with the arms raised at me, the high-pitched sound of the blasters fills my ears. I fall back and scramble away from him.

"No way!" I gasp.

"I'm not going to ask again, who are you? And how did you just appear on my balcony?" Tony Stark's voice says through the suit.

I try to speak but only a squeak comes out. I swallow and try again. I raise my hands up to show that I'm not armed.

"I don't know how I ended up here. I was going to get my mail and then I tripped and I landed here and then I looked behind me and there was a portal but it closed." I answer him rapidly, not taking a breath until I finished.

Tony lowered his arms slightly and the faceplate of his helmet retracted.

"Holy shit! It really is you! I have to be dreaming! I have to be dreaming!" I place my hands on either side of my face. My heart is rapidly beating and I'm having a hard time breathing.

"Hey Kid, calm down. Breathe." Tony says with a concerned look on his face.

I shake my head. "No you don't understand. You're not supposed to exist. You're just a movie character!" I continue to hyperventilate. Then a thought occurs to me. Have I been isekai'd ?

"What are you talking about?" Tony asks.

I take some deep breaths to calm down. Tony has completely lowered his arms though he stays in his suit. I look up at him.

"You're movie characters or comic book characters where I come from." I sniffle. There was no way this was really happening.

"What do you mean 'where you come from"? Now Tony steps out of his suit.

I take another deep breath.

"I said that I had seen a portal but it closed right? Well I am from an..." I search for the right word, " alternate world. One where you are a comic book character or movie character."

Tony, of course, looked at me like I was crazy. And maybe I was. Maybe I had finally snapped.

"Say you're telling the truth, how do I believe you?" He asks.

I think frantically for an answer. Then I look down at the balcony I was currently on.

"Are we on Stark Tower or Avengers Tower?"

That seemed to do the trick as his face showed a look of surprise. "How do you know about the Avengers?"

I let out a sigh. "I told you, you are a movie character. The Avengers is one of my comfort movies."

Tony looks at me for a few more moments. "Alright Gryffindor, get up and follow me."

I look down to see that I am wearing my Harry Potter jacket. I stand up and follow him inside the building. I realize that it's the same room where Loki gets smashed by Hulk. Tony catches me looking around.

"So what do you know about the Avengers?"

I see Tony standing behind the bar fixing himself a drink. He looks at me and I nod. I was definitely going to need some alcohol. When he brings me a glass I take a sip. I've always hated the taste of alcohol but this was very much needed.

"What do you want to know?"

"Start with the basics."

I sigh.

"Well there's you, Steve Rogers, Bruce Banner, Natasha Romanoff, Clint Barton, and Thor to start out with."

Tony stares at me as I rattle off the names. "So I do join the Avengers. Thought I was excluded."

I take another sip of my drink and smile. Then my eyes widen. Wait, this means that the Avengers haven't been formed yet.

"You haven't met those people except for Natasha have you?"

Tony shakes his head. I look down into my drink.

"That means this is 2012 right?"

Tony raises an eyebrow. "What year are you from?"

"2022."

Tony takes another sip of his drink.

"So not only are you from another world but you're also from the future?"

I nod. Tony looks down at his drink and frowns.

"I need a stronger drink for this." He heads back to the bar.

I let out another sigh. While he is pouring himself another drink I think about my situation while taking my phone out to stop my music from playing. I had forgotten about it until now.

I'm here, somehow, in the MCU. Was this another multiverse thing? Maybe. I take another sip of my drink. Then a thought occurs to me. If I'm here in the MCU and the Avengers haven't happened yet, then maybe I can change the outcome. I look up at Tony. If I can change things then maybe, Tony, Natasha, Gamora, and Loki don't have to die.
