The next morning I open my eyes when my alarm goes off. I turn it off and look around.
This isn't my room I think. It takes me a minute to remember that I'm not living in the Tower anymore, I'm living in the Compound. I throw the covers off and get out of bed. I walk into the bathroom and proceed to get ready.
Once I am dressed I leave my room and make my way to the kitchen where I make myself a cup of coffee and a bowl of cereal. As I eat I flip through the newspaper but I don't really pay much attention to it.
"Ah Miss Gryffindor." I hear Vision.
I look up to see him entering the room.
"Morning, Vision." I give him a small smile.
He nods his head in my direction. "You haven't seen Miss Maximoff anywhere?"
I bite my tongue to keep from smiling and shake my head. "No, not today."
He shakes his head and I go back to flipping through the newspaper.
"Forgive me but, you seem to be sad." He says.
I look up at him and after a minute I sigh. "I am. I'm also a little mad. I'm smad."
Vision gives me a quizzical look. "I don't believe I've heard of that word before."
I let out a small chuckle. "It's when you're both sad and mad."
Vision's face changes to one of understanding. "Ah."
I stand up from where I was sitting and rinse out my bowl and cup. "If I see Wanda I'll let her know you were looking for her." I then leave the kitchen and head back to my room.
Once back into the solace of my room I lean against my door.
Damn you Odin!
Just when things were getting good he just had to ruin things. Why did he have to bring them all back to Asgard? Did he sense that Loki was happy for once so he decided to ruin it? What if he throws Loki back into the cell? Or forbids him from ever leaving Asgard again? What if he stays in Asgard long enough to change his mind about me and wants to break up? So many thoughts rush through my head and I flop down onto the couch.
A knock at my door brings me out of my thoughts and I turn to see Wanda enter my room with a hand to her head and a slightly pained expression on her face.
"You are very loud." She says.
I raise an eyebrow at her before I understand what she means. "Oh. Sorry." I say softly.
She comes and sits down next to me.
"Is this Odin really that bad?" She asks.
I let out a huff. "I wouldn't put it past him. He wants his children to be happy but on his terms, not theirs."
Wanda frowns at this.
"Oh, Vision was looking for you." I say to try and change the subject.
Her face lights up. "Did he say what he wanted?"
I shake my head. Then my door opens and Pietro walks in.
"Is the girl talk over? Steve wants us to train." He says.
"Oh cool, I'll come watch." I didn't have anything better to do anyway.
Wanda and I stand up and leave my room. Pietro had already run ahead as soon as we stood up. We walk to the training room. It's a large room that has a few training dummies, one wall has training weapons, and some mats stacked up against another wall.
There is also a separate room with a large window where you can watch people train. I go into that room while Wanda goes into the other room. Tony is there so I sit next to him. There are some computers in here as well and Tony keys in some commands. I figure he's going to record the results
"Any word from your psychotic lover?" He asks.
I roll my eyes. "He is not psychotic."
Tony side eyes me.
"And no I haven't heard anything from him, but it's only been a day." I cross my arms in front of my chest.
Steve talks to Wanda and Pietro. I can't hear what he is saying but then he leaves the room and steps into the observation room with Tony and I. I spend the rest of the afternoon watching Pietro run as fast as he can around the room and Wanda focusing on using her magic.
If Loki were here, I would ask him to train Wanda.
When Loki comes back, I'll ask him. I have to say when not if. Tony orders a large order of pizza for us when the training ends. The rest of the week passes by with nothing exciting happening. One morning I wake up and get ready as usual. After I eat my breakfast and walk back into my room I see something on one of the desks.
It's a letter with my name written on the front. I pick it up and turn it over. There is a wax seal done in green and black with the stamp being an L with a snake coiling around it. My heart thuds in my chest as I open it.
My Dearest Pet,
I am afraid that our time in Asgard will be longer than I would've hoped. I know not of when we will be able to return but I only hope that it is soon. Mother is trying hard to talk Odin into letting us return but he is being stubborn. I miss you. I can assure you that once I return, I will not be leaving my Mate again.
I will see you soon, Loki
I hold the letter to my chest as tears begin to fall down my cheeks. When he returns I'm telling him that I love him no matter what. I reread the letter and I raise an eyebrow at the word Mate. He had called me that before Thor had shown up. I fall back onto my bed and wipe my eyes. Do Asgardians have mates? No, that didn't sound right. I'm sure Thor would've said something about that in the movies. Does Loki mean Mate as in Soulmate? Maybe.
Then my eyes widen and I sit up. Loki isn't an Asgardian. He's a Frost Giant. I look back down at the letter. Does that mean that Frost Giants have mates? I hate that there is nothing said about them in the movies other than the first one. I fold the letter back up and put it in the drawer in the bedside table.
When Loki returns, I'll ask him about that. Without a doubt.
