"CONGRATULATIONS!!!!" Kari and I shout as Loki, Finn, and Thor exit the elevator to our floor.
The boys look around as Kari and I had put up a banner that said "You're an Avenger!" I had also ordered some take out and had set it all out for us to eat. Loki was now an Avenger. With some limitations of course. He could only go on missions with other Avengers and Finn had to go as well, which made Finn an Avenger as well.
"What's this then?" Finn asks as he steps further into the apartment.
"Well since you and Prince Loki are now Avengers we decided to throw you a little party." Kari exclaims.
"So let's party!" I say as I open up a bottle of champagne.
It really isn't much of a party, well if you compare it to Tony's parties, but it's all we can do.
"Are you ok?" I ask Loki after a while.
He looks at me and gives me a soft smile.
"I'm alright. Though I don't think Avenging is really something for me." He says.
I shrug. "Well at least it gets you outside. And maybe once you've done some missions you can come and go as you please."
He looks up into the sky. I know what he's thinking. Asgard. I frown. I know despite everything, he still misses his home. I'm about to say something to him when Finn walks up to me.
"Am I really an Avenger?" He asks.
"I would think so. And having three Asgardians on the team can't hurt." I reply.
Finn smiles.
"That's right!" Thor says, throwing an arm over Finn and Loki's shoulders. "We'll be unstoppable."
I give a little laugh. I hope so because it was almost time for Ultron. And I had to be prepared for it. That night, after the party is over I walk into my room to get ready for bed. I jump when I find Loki.
"Loki? You scared the daylights out of me!" I gasp.
"My apologies." He says as he walks over to me. "But I wanted to ask you something."
My breathing returns to normal. "Ok?"
Loki is quiet for a minute. He shifts a bit before putting his hands behind his back. "You said that three Asgardians could help the team."
I nod and Loki looks at me.
"You...do know...that I'm not...really an Asgardian." His voice is soft and unsure.
I smile and walk over to him and gently take a hold of his arm. The one the Frost Giant had grabbed in the first Thor movie.
"Yes, Loki. I know." I answer him.
"And...you're not afraid of me?" His eyes are focused on my hand as it slips down to his.
"No. I've never been afraid of you. For you, yes. But never of you."
He looks up at me. "Have you seen me?"
I nod again. "Yes. I even know what you look like if you had stayed in Jotunheim."
He raises an eyebrow at me.
"Have you ever heard of the multiverse?"
He nods.
"Well, there are different versions of everyone. And in one of the universes, there is a Loki who was raised on Jotunheim. You're ten or twelve feet tall," I reach up and gently tug a lock of his hair, "you still have your black hair, and a horned crown made of ice."
