"The core is in the church. That has to be protected at all costs." I say as Clint lands the jet.

We had already seen the Helicarrier as we landed in Sokovia.

"Fury, how is the evacuation?" Tony asks over the comm. He turns and looks at me after a second. "Fury says there are still some people waiting to be evacuated."

I nod. "Ok. Kari and I will help with that."

Everyone nods and we all begin to leave the jet. Kari and I head towards the crowd of people. There is a SHIELD agent who is also helping. He waves as he sees us.

"You here to help?"

We both nod our heads.

"Ok, we've almost got everyone but the rest of the crowd is getting a little anxious." He says.

"Right, we'll help with that." Kari says.

We both run to the people that are still waiting to be loaded. A lot of them are asking questions on why they are having to leave when explosions start going off. A few of them scream and at first I think that Ultron has activated the core but thankfully it has not happened yet. I pray that it will not happen at all.

I also keep my eye out for that little kid that gets separated from his mom, though I'm not sure if they had already boarded or not. I know they're on the last escape pod in the movie so I have to go off of that. The sounds of the Avengers fighting the various Ultron robots can be heard which is adding to the crowd's nervousness.

"The Avengers are here and they are fighting the robots. These pods will get everyone to safety." I yell to the crowd.

At the mention of the Avengers some of them look happy and grateful while others are still scared and start blaming them for this.

I really hope this doesn't bring about the Sokovia Accords I think.

Then a few of the people scream as some of the robots fly past us, followed by War Machine.

"Yes! Rhodey!" I cheer as him, Tony, and Vision fly by blasting the robots.

Finally, the last of the crowd is on the last escape pod and I look around for the kid. I see the kid and run up to him.

"Hey, it's ok. Come here." I say and pick him up.

I can hear Kari calling for me and I look up to the sky to see no sign of Ultron or the other Avengers. I take it as a good sign and run across the street. I make it to the pod just as Ultron appears in the Quinjet and begins firing at us. We all duck and scream and then I hear a roar. I look up to see Hulk jumping onto the jet.

"My Lady." I hear Kari gasp.

I look at her to see her holding her side where a large blood stain is forming.

"KARI!" I yell, letting go of the kid I run to her. "Kari! Kari! Hold on!" I say, not hiding the panic in my voice. I look around. "MEDIC!" I yell and someone runs over.

"My Lady," she gasps again, "I'll be alright."

"You had better, Kari. Please don't leave me." I begin to cry and she reaches up and brushes my cheek with her hand.

The medic begins to look over the wound. I hold onto her hand as the pod leaves to join with the Helicarrier. I can't lose Kari. She was my first real friend since I came to this universe. My only thoughts are on Kari. I can't even be happy that Sokovia wasn't destroyed.

"It's just a graze." The medic says.

I look up at him as he disinfects the wound.

"A graze?" My voice comes out in a whisper.

"Your friend is lucky." He starts to stitch Kari up.

I look back down at Kari and smile. "That means she's going to be ok, right?" I ask.

The medic nods. "Should be."

I try not to focus on where Kari is being stitched. That always made me feel queasy in movies.

"Kari, you're going to be alright." I tell her.

She smiles at me and closes her eyes. "Asgardians are tougher than humans." She jokes.

I let out a chuckle and wipe away some tears. "If you're not given a higher rank back on Asgard, I will personally complain to Frigga."

"Kari?" I hear someone say.

I look up to see Finn rushing over to us.

"What happened?" He asks. Panic rising in his voice.

"It's ok. It's just a graze." I say.

He lets out a sigh of relief. I reach out a hand to him.

"I'm sorry, Finn." I say as new tears begin to fall.

Finn shakes his head. "No, My Lady. It's not your fault." He looks at Kari and takes her hand and kisses it. "My little Dragonfly can fight anything."

If the situation was different I would've laughed at the nickname, but instead, I just squeeze her hand.

"Pet?" I hear Loki say.

I look up to see him and Thor walking towards us. I look down at Kari and she squeezes my hand and nods. I stand up and walk over to Loki. Thor continues past us to the lovebirds.

"Tonight we will sing songs and drink of our victory and the bravery of the both of you!" Thor exclaims.

"They say it's just a graze. She'll be ok." I say to Loki. I bury my head into his shoulder, wrap my arms around him and cling to his cape.

Loki wraps his arms around me, using one hand to rub up and down my back. Finn helps Kari stand up and we all slowly make our way to where the other Avengers are. I am surprised to see Bruce still here. He was supposed to be on his way to Sakaar by now. And I am relieved to see Pietro is still alive. Him and Wanda are talking to Clint as we approach. Everything worked out in the end.

It is several more hours before we can leave. The Helicarrier sets us all down at the Tower. I head up to my floor. Finn insisted that Kari stay with him and I didn't object to it. I did tell him to go easy on her for a while. He had blushed so hard I laughed.

I step out of the bathroom with a towel wrapped around me and head into my bedroom. I can feel the weight of the past few days beginning to take effect and I yawn loudly. I slip some pajamas on and I'm about to slip into bed when I hear someone knock on my door. I open it to see Loki standing there.

"Loki? What's wrong?" I ask him. I step aside and let him inside my room.

He's quiet for a minute as he looks around my bedroom before turning his attention to me.

"I wanted to say this earlier but felt it was the wrong time. It probably still is but I can't wait any longer."

I raise an eyebrow at him quizzically and cock my head to the side a bit. He steps closer to me and takes my hands in his.

"I..." he clears his throat, "I want...wish to...court you. Officially."

My heart stops. "Me?"

"Yes. I've wanted to for awhile but I didn't think...or rather, I didn't want to ruin what we had."

I think if I could physically do it, I would've burst into flames right then. I know I smile. I can feel it. I just hope it isn't some big dumb, goofy looking smile.

"Yes!" I clear my throat as a cough. "I would like that...too." I look down to hide my embarrassment.

"Really?" He asks. He lifts one hand to my chin and tilts my head up to look at him.

"Yes." Is all I can say.

Loki smiles. One of his rare "actually happy" smiles and leans his head down. I close my eyes as his lips press against mine.
