Into the Unknown

Ironman 3 Part 2

A few hours later I hear a truck outside and look to see them dropping off a giant rabbit.

"What the fuck?" I whisper to no one.

I decide to head down to the lab to ask Tony about it.

"Um, what's with the giant ass bunny outside?"

"It's a Christmas present for Pepper. Too much?" He walks around quickly and walks over to a table and picks up some food and takes a bite.

"I thought it was date night tonight?" I cross my arms across my chest.

"It is. This is just a snack. What are you going to do by the way?"

"I'll be in my bedroom, making no noise pretending I'm not there." I quote Harry Potter. Might as well commit to it.

The corner of Tony's mouth twitches and he pulls out his phone.

"Is there anything that you can tell me about this guy, Aldritch Killian?"

I look at the picture of the guy and a feeling of dread comes over me.

"Yeah, He's the main bad guy."

Tony looks at me. "What is he doing?"

"Um, something with ex-military people. Um..." I try to remember anything from the movie. "They take something he makes and they can blow up." I look up at him and open my mouth to say something else but Pepper enters the lab.

She looks at the table with the food.

"You ate without me?"

"Yes, I'm sorry. I was hungry." Tony apologizes.

Pepper scoffs and turns around to leave but Tony stops her.

"Look, I know I'm a hot mess but we just figured out something," he gestures to me, "and I just need a little time. And then I'm yours."

Well...damn. That was...actually sweet. Pepper sighs and smiles.

"Well then, I'm going to take a shower." She turns to leave and looks over her shoulder at Tony. "You're joining me." She exits the lab.

"That's even better." Tony says as he gets up as well.

I grab his hand. "Make sure she stays away from Killian."

His eyes widen. "Why? What happens?"

I shake my head. "Nothing as long as she stays away from him." I let go of his hand and we both leave the lab, Tony heading in the direction of Pepper and I to my room.

Later that night, I am still up. Mostly because I can't shake the feeling that something really bad is about to happen. I finally give up sleeping and grab my phone and type in the third Ironman movie. I find the wikipedia for it and read the synopsis.

"OH FUCK!" I yell.

"FUCK SHIT CRAP!" I curse.

I get up off the bed and run to Tony and Pepper's room. I knock on the door and Tony answers. "What?"

"Where's Happy?"

"What?"

"Where's Happy?" I ask again. Pepper comes up from the stairs.

"What's going on?" She asks.

"There's about to be an explosion at the Chinese Theater. Happy will be there."
