Into the Unknown

Thor the Dark World part 1

I look out the window to see the Bifrost appear outside and I frown. Thor isn't supposed to be coming to Earth except for Jane. I furrow my brow. Unless he does outside of the movies and it's just never talked about. I shrug and step away from the window. A few minutes later the elevator to my floor dings and Thor steps out.

"Hi Thor." I smile at him. He smiles back at me. "What brings you here?"

"Actually I'm here for you." He says.

"Me? Why?"

"Mother asked me to bring you to Asgard. She said she wants to meet you." His smile falls and he looks serious.

"I-wai-huh?" I stammer. Frigga wants to meet me? "Why?"

Now Thor looks sheepish. "Well I did mention you to her and she said that she wanted me to bring you to her."

I am at a loss for words. "Umm... ok, I need to process this." I walk away from Thor then stop and look back at him. "Does Odin know of this?"

Thor shakes his head. "I don't think so. Unless mother told him."

I purse my lips in thought. "So how are we going? Wouldn't Heimdall tell him?"

"He knows and he will not tell unless father asks him."

I nod and take a moment to think before looking back up at Thor. "Can you tell me what's going on in Asgard right now?"

Thor furrows his brow in question. "Well nothing much. I've mainly been going to the other realms to restore order."

"And Loki?" I ask.

"He is in a cell in the dungeon. Even though I told father what you told me, he still sentenced him there."

I scoff and roll my eyes. "Of course he did." I walk into the kitchen and grab a small container of cookies that I had made earlier that day.

"What are those for?" Thor asks.

"If I'm meeting the Queen, I'm bringing something. Uh, does she like sweet things?" I ask a bit uncertain.

Thor laughs. "My mother has a bit of a sweet tooth."

I let out a sigh of relief and open the container and hand him one of the cookies. He takes it and takes a bite. His hum of approval makes me smile and we both walk into the elevator.

"Oh, will I meet the Warriors 3 and Sif?" That makes me excited.

Thor looks at me. "You know of them?"

I nod. "Oh. They're great. Though I have a hard time trying to decide who is my favorite of them."

Thor laughs at that. "Then you will meet them. Though I'm afraid you won't meet Hogun. He stayed in Vanaheim.

I frown and nod. I look away from him still frowning. If Hogun is in Vanaheim, then that means the second Thor movie is just starting. The elevator opens on the bottom floor and we step out. Tony is there.

"Hey Tony, so I'm going to Asgard." I say with a smile on my face.

"You're what? Now?" He looks up from his phone.

"Mother has asked to see her." Thor answers him.

Tony looks at Thor and frowns. "Only her? Not one of the other Avengers?"

I can't help but laugh. "I promise I'll put in a good word for you Tony."

Tony huffs but waves his hand at us dismissively. "Alright go."

"Bye Tony." I wave back and leave the building with Thor.

Once we get outside, Thor looks at me. "You might want to hold on to me."

I do and Thor wraps one arm around me and raises his other arm with Mjolnir in his hand and soon a bright light engulfs us. I look as best I can at the other galaxies that we pass. It really is incredibly beautiful. It ends all took quickly and we land in the Observatory.

"That was awesome!" I let go of Thor and look up to see Heimdall standing on his dais and staring at us.

He steps away from his sword. "Welcome to Asgard."

I nod my head to him. "Hello Heimdall. Nice to meet you." Admittedly, he did intimidate me more than Odin did.

He nods his head at me and I follow Thor out of the Observatory. Asgard is absolutely beautiful. There is no other word to describe it. "It's beautiful." I say in a hushed voice.

Thor smiles and wraps his arm around me.

"Wait til you see it up close." He begins to swing Mjolnir and I have enough time to grab onto him before we are launched into the sky and I scream.

"Alright, you can let go now." I hear Thor say.

"Not until we land." I bury my face further into his broad chest.

Thor laughs. "We have landed."

I look to see that we have, indeed, landed. I push away from him and punch his arm.

"Don't ever do that again." I scowl at him. He just laughs.

"So this is the human you were talking about?" I hear a voice say behind me.

I turn to see Fandral, Volstagg, and Sif walking toward us. I smile at them.

"Yes. She is the one that's from a different universe." Thor replies.

Fandral stops in front of me and takes my hand. "Are the ladies of your universe as lovely as you?" He kisses my hand.

I can't stop my blush. "Uhm, I, uh, yeah."

"Fandral, you're going to scare the poor girl." Volstagg says as he steps up next to Fandral.

I shake my head and hold out the container and open it. "Here, have one."

The three of them look into the container and each take a cookie. Volstagg is the first one to take a bite.

"It's delicious!" He exclaims.

"Good. I made them."

I don't miss Fandral quickly eating his and Sif takes a bite of it.

"It really is good." She says.

I smile at her. "I hope Queen Frigga thinks so."

"Speaking of mother, I think it's time you meet her." Thor says.

He walks ahead of me and I follow him into the palace.
