How Far I'll Go

I walk into the lab. Quickly seeing Bruce leaning over a desk.

"Hey Bruce." I say.

He turns and takes his glasses off.

"Oh hey." He looks around behind me. "You're alone today?"

I guess Loki still makes him nervous. Also I need to remember to never tell Tony a secret.

"Yeah, for now. Listen, do you have time? There's something I want to talk to you about."

He sets his glasses down on the table behind him.

"Uh yeah is it...time for the next movie?" He asks.

I shake my head. "No, we still have time before I need to really worry about that. I'm here to talk about something that happens beyond that."

Bruce raises an eyebrow but doesn't say anything, waiting on me to start.

"First, can Hulk hear us talk?" I ask him.

He shrugs. "When he wants to."

"Well, I need him to listen because this involves both of you."

I wait for a minute and then Bruce nods.

"Well, in one of the movies you find a way to combine you and Hulk together."

"I what?" He asks.

"Yeah, it's Hulk's body but you're in charge."

"Oh he doesn't like that." I can see a little bit of green beginning to show on Bruce's skin.

"Yeah, well, I don't think the fans liked it either. But this is kind of important. I need you to figure it out. There's this real bad guy coming and I'm preparing for him. I want to beat him. Once Thor returns, I'll reveal more about it. This isn't some global problem, it's the entire universe." I say.

Bruce frowns and furrows his brows. "Is this the guy who was behind Loki attacking New York?"

I smile. "Yes. He's really bad."

Bruce hums. "I'll talk to him about it."

I hesitate. "Can...I speak to him about it?"

Bruce looks at me in shock. "You want to talk to the other guy?"

I nod. "Yes. I need to tell him how important this is. Please?"

Bruce stands up and I back up. He begins to turn green and soon Hulk is standing in front of me. He looks down at me with a little bit of hurt in his eyes.

"Hey big guy, I know I hurt your feelings by asking you this but this is really important. You're the only one who can do this and live. No one else can do this. And I promise it'll only be temporary. People like Hulk and Bruce, not them together." I reach out and touch his arm.

He flinches at my touch but doesn't pull away. He looks at my hand and then looks at me before nodding. "Hulk like tiny human."

I smile. "I'll take that as a yes." I step closer and lean up and hug him.

He makes a surprised grunt but very gently wraps an arm around me.

"Thank you Hulk." I give him a quick kiss on his cheek as well.

Hulk gives a pleased growl and smiles and then changes back to Bruce.

"I don't know what you did, but he seems happy." Bruce says.

"I just said please. Now I need to go talk to Tony about this as well." I wave and leave the lab. "FRIDAY take me to Tony, please?" I pull out my phone and look up an image of Thanos' glove.

The elevators open to the top floor where Tony was packing some things up.

"Hey Gryffindor, come to help?" He asks upon seeing me.

"Uh, no. I'm actually here for another reason."

Tony puts the tape down. "And what are we fighting now?"

"Well, hopefully, we won't be fighting anything." I show him my phone. "I need you to make this. Big enough to fit Hulk."

"What is that? And why Hulk?" He takes my phone.

"It's a glove. One that can hold the Infinity Stones. I need you to make one like it. Oh and it needs to have a quick release once the stones have been used, otherwise it'll fuse to the person's body."

"Woah why are we using the Stones?" Tony looks at me incredulously.

"Remember when we first met and I said that someone else was behind Loki attacking New York?"

Tony nods.

"Well this is the guy. We need to use them on him. Thor is off-world getting the Power Stone. When he returns with that, then I'll explain everything in detail."

Tony looks at me then back to the picture of the glove. "Alright. This is the final boss?"

I smile. "Why do you think Loki brought the Avengers together?" I take my phone back. "Thank you Tony."

If this all goes to plan, then nobody has to die except for Thanos. So far I have done a pretty good job at keeping people alive. I just hope that luck continues. I go back up to my floor to continue my own packing. The press conference is tomorrow, after that I need to take a trip to Asgard and talk to Odin.
