I have no idea how many days I'm here. There are no windows to let me know the passage of time. All I know is when they come and pull me from my cell and I'm either strapped to the chair or I get electricity coursing through me with one of those batons of theirs. I now have a matching burn on my back and other side from that.

I can barely stand now. I am given food but it's just enough to stave off starvation. It also hurts to swallow or speak. My throat is so raw. Does anyone know that I'm missing? Does Tony think I ran away after our fight? I bite back tears as I wonder if he even cares.

My cell door opens and an agent pulls me off my bed and leads me to the room with the big chair. Bucky is sitting in it and Pierce is standing over him, slapping him.

"What is your mission?" He says.

Bucky is quiet for a minute. "That guy...knew me." He sounds sad and confused.

He saw Steve! I think to myself. But horror takes over as I remember what happens next.

Pierce stands back up and walks over to me. "Wipe him." He orders.

The nurses move to do just that and I grab Pierce's arm.

"Stop, please!" I beg. My voice comes out as a scratchy whisper. "Stop! I'll tell you anything you want. Just please stop."

Pierce holds up a hand to stop everyone and waits. I take a few minutes to think. I don't want to tell him anything that's too important.

"Steve...Steve becomes President."

The room is quiet for a minute before everyone starts to laugh, including Pierce.

"Steve Rogers becomes President of the United States?" He asks.

I nod. "He...has to kill Bucky. That leads him to becoming President. In order to wipe out Hydra for good." I hope they buy the lie.

Pierce just looks at me. "I'm not sure if you're telling the truth. I know why you told me about my housekeeper's phone," he glances over at Bucky, "but this sounds a little too far-fetched."

Dammit! He didn't buy it. I try to think of something else to tell him. My knowledge of the comics is limited. He raises his hand again and the nurses begin prepping Bucky.

"No! Stop!" I beg again but I'm ignored.

They turn the machine on and Bucky begins to scream. I cry as well.

"Please!" I fall to my knees. "Steve wins! He always wins."

Pierce looks down at me and smirks. "And just how does he win?"

I look up at him. "You die!"

Pierce just continues to smirk at me for a minute then looks away. "That may have been true once, but things change." He begins to leave as Bucky continues to scream and I beg them to stop. My cries go unheard and I am eventually pulled from the room and taken back to my cell.

I can't get Bucky's scream out of my head. I couldn't do anything to help him. I lay on my bed and cry.

"I can't do this anymore." I say softly to no one. I glance up at the ceiling. "Heimdall," I say weakly, "tell Loki I'm sorry, please."

I have no idea if he heard me or even cares. All I know is that tomorrow, somehow I will die. Several hours later my cell door opens and I'm once again pulled out and into the room with my chair. I'm strapped in and the Doctor steps in front of me.

"Now, how about you tell me more about how Steve Rogers becomes President."

"How about I tell you how your mother sucks dick in hell." I reply.

He slaps me across the face. My body is in so much pain that I don't even know that I have bitten my cheek until I taste blood. He bends down to look at me.

"Want to try that again?"

I spit at him, spraying him in the face with my blood. He makes a sound of disgust and wipes his face.

"You bitch!" He walks over and grabs one of the batons, turns it on, and lays it on my arm.

I scream as electricity courses through me. There is no getting used to it. He picks it up and touches my other arm. Then the baton leaves me and I hang my head, ready for death. I can hear what sounds like a fight and what sounds like more electricity going off, though I am not being electrocuted.

I feel the straps being pulled off me and someone picking me up. Soft strong arms holding me. I look to see Death in the guise of Loki holding me.

Death is being nice to me I think.

"You came." I squeak out.

His face is full of worry. "Yes, I came."

I can't fight it anymore. I can feel tears begin to fill my eyes and he pulls me closer to him.

"It's alright, Little One. You're safe now." Loki says.

I begin to cry. There are other voices but I can't understand them. I just cry until I see a bright light around me. This must be "the light" you see when you die. I let out a sigh and close my eyes, accepting my fate, I let darkness take me.
