I am currently bringing all my boxes out into the living room where they are to be picked up. Kari had already finished and her boxes were already waiting. She didn't have as many boxes as I did though so it took her no time to get her things packed up. I set a box down and turn quickly. Too quickly as my foot catches onto another box. I yelp as I fall flat on my face.
Kari comes running out. "My Lady! Are you alright?" She kneels down and helps me up.
"Uh yeah, I'm ok." I sit up and hiss in pain. Well shit. I think I twisted my ankle. Kari helps me stand up and I bite my lip to keep from crying out.
"Take me to the couch, Kari." She helps me as I hop to the couch. Once I sit down I take my shoe and sock off. And there is already a red, angry line. "Shit! Get me some ice in a bag and wrap it in a towel."
Kari does that and I prop my foot up on the back of the couch. She shakes her head at me as I place the bag on my ankle.
"And what is this supposed to do?" She asks.
I lay down flat on the couch. "Helps keep the swelling down. You keep your foot higher than your head. At least that's what I've always been told."
She shakes her head again. "Human medicine will never cease to amaze and disappoint me at the same time."
I can't help but laugh. "I'll be fine. Just have to keep this on and off until we're ready to leave." There were only a few boxes left anyway.
An hour goes by when I hear the elevator ding.
"What are you doing?" I hear Loki ask. I see him lean over the back of the couch, an eyebrow raised at me.
"I think I twisted my ankle so I'm putting ice on it to keep it from swelling." I had actually just put it back on. It didn't look like it was helping.
Loki rolls his eyes and walks around the couch. He removes the ice bag and sits down, gingerly taking my foot in his hands. I wince at his touch. He places both hands on either side of my ankle. I blush and raise an eyebrow as his hands start to glow. My foot begins to tingle as well. It feels like when your foot has been asleep and is now waking up, but just a little bit more intense.
I watch Loki as he keeps his eyes on my foot. It is weirdly intimate. I have never liked it when somebody touches my feet and while that hasn't changed, it just feels different with him. I don't know how to explain it.
The tingling sensation and the glow fade and Loki sets my foot down.
"There, how is that?" He asks.
I flex my foot and then set it down on the floor and stand up. No pain. I sit back down next to him and kiss him.
"All better. Thank you."
He smiles. I grab my sock and shoe and begin putting them back on.
"Is there anything you can't do? Your magic is amazing." I finish tying my shoe and look at Loki.
There is a slight blush on his face and he is looking at me with a look of surprise on his face. He clears his throat and quickly changes his face to his neutral one.
"I'm the greatest Sorcerer in all of Asgard, Pet."
I roll my eyes and the elevator opens to reveal the movers. They start grabbing boxes. Kari walks out and sees me standing up. She gives me a knowing smile and I look away to hide my blush. Instead I grab a box and enter the elevator with the movers.
Tony is already down and standing with Finn. I hear my name being called and I turn to see Susie and Amy running over to me.
"What are you doing?" Amy asks.
